My friend is in the beta, and he assures me (without breaking NDA) that it's rather fun, but then, he's been looking forward to playing it for years so it might just be the primary initial excitement of being able to play it.

Same thing in the UK, (not with STALKER, but with Ubisoft games)

I can't say for sure, but I think at those settings it will be fine.

I think a Penumbra game might be a good bet for you, the graphics look great but only require low end hardware to run.

They're more survival horror/puzzle solving than say, FEAR or Doom 3 but they have a pretty awesome atmosphere and feel to them.

Very interested. Do a little parkour in real life + obviously video games. Combind them, make it good, we'll see. I'm not convinced it's going to be amazing like everyone thinks but I hope it turns out to be.

Stevendawg

Same.

I think it will be good if it's in a free-roam environment; the part from the trailer looked slightly linear, but cool nonetheless.

Edit: Actually, it doesn't look as linear as I first thought, I'll keep an eye on this one.

I would have thought that Gordon Freeman or the G-man would be more iconic characters -at least when thinking of the half-life series.

I've bought Half life twice (and hl2 + episode one if you include orange box)

as well as GTA 1 and 3.

You will definitely see a big difference.

The motherboard is OK , and has a pretty nice easy-to-use overclocking features. (Doubt you'll get over 3.0ghz though)

On most games you probably can't tell the difference between 16AA and 4AA, so you can keep it at 4AA and save a few fps.
