Saints Row: The Third was "arguably the best game in the series"? Could I get the argument for that, please? I highly disagree.

First, no Johnny Gat - hands down one of the best allies of all time. He was the right amount of funny, badass, and flawed, and he only gets a brief moment in the third game.

Second, the missions - aside from a handful of missions, your "story" involves just doing side quests (or "activities" as they're called). Cyber Blazing, Professor Genki's television show, Trafficking (protecting people as they sell your merchandise). It was the opposite of GTAIV - where GTAIV went incredibly serious, Saints Row went incredibly silly.

Third, the "storyline" was simply you bringing yourself back to power - but not exactly through ownership, but through brand recognition. You're building yourself up as a label, rather than the gang you originally were.

No, I highly disagree with the Third being the best, by far. Go back and play Saints Row 2 - where each gang has a story arch that can be played in any order, where there are moments that are actually engaging and leave you wanting to take out your enemies as a personal vendetta (remember what happens to Aisha in SR2?), rather than just leaving you feeling like you're doing silly side stunts like a part of some $4.99 mobile game.

TL;DR:
The majority of Saints Row: The Third was simply made of "filler" side quests and overly hollow stereotypes. Was it fun? Yes, but "arguably the best" is a funnier statement than anything actually found in the game.

Also, this clip from SR2 is simply too badass: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBSg2F53nZQ

It's going to burn out faster than For Honor.

"...And Why It's Not An Assassin's Creed Game..." The main reason why Black Flag's piracy component was such a big success was because it was an Assassin's Creed game. Taking that kind of combat system and putting it into a multiplayer setting is going to show just how limiting it is ("we're going to circle one another's ships until one of us lands slightly more shots than the other!").

Black Flag was my favorite Assassin's Creed by far, but I simply don't see how the system can offer any more than that unless they break up roles aboard the ship (like Sea of Thieves) and allow individuals to board one another's ships during battle.

Cautiously optimistic, though I find it to be a red flag that there's barely been any mention of this game prior to now.

"New friendships have been forged..."

Imaginary friends that we cannot see.

For simplicity's sake, I'll continue paying for Netflix.
I'll continue using my inlaws' Amazon Video account.
For all else, I'll google and find a moderate quality upload online for free.

I'm not taking on a dozen different streaming services, even if they were all free, just to watch things that - in all honesty, I've probably watched 5+ times in the first place. All I'm paying for is convenience of higher quality image, as I can easily find anything that I'd want to watch online for free in slightly subpar quality (which does not bother me at all). Once Netflix becomes too costly for what they offer (which might be pretty soon, seeing how often they're removing quality content, recycling old content - Lord of War, for example, has been on/off Netflix 4-5 times now - and putting up some less-than-stellar stuff like Iron Fist), I'll quit paying for Netflix and just resume getting my shows and movies for free.

Welp, nothing to see here.

Tear down the Borderlands 3 banners, and I'll see everyone at the next Gearbox announcement.

@risingdawn: Honestly, I felt like the first had the same issue as Assassin's Creed and the Arkham series - good games for a single playthrough, highly repetitive after it.

The sole exception was Black Flag, because the ability to sail and engage in piracy added a little bit of longevity.

@darthrevenx: No, that'll be in part three of the DLC... but you can't purchase it unless you've bought the first and second ones.

Sure! And I'll buy it as soon as they lower the price for which they upped it to cover the cost of the DRM system that will fail.

@coatuk789: I think it was mostly issues with the player. "Hey, let's stand here and hit this indestructible wooden beam eight times."
