Would also like to comment about ads - will not longer be accessing your site via mobile.

Have been getting pop-up ads (on mobile) that wind up directing me away from Gamespot entirely and forcing open the App Store on my phone; got a malware link this morning that advertised my phone "being at risk." I'm not looking to have a bricked smartphone, all from looking at gaming news, so I'll be visiting other websites from now on.

Edit: This is in the U.S.

Was it distasteful? Yes.
Is most of the hate here because it's Call of Duty/Activision and not actually because it was distasteful? Yes.

To anyone who doesn't know who Paul Monroe is before reading the title, they might've thought the show was tying in with the Book of Revelations.

I take back my previous comment on the other article about map numbers. I'm impressed, Ubi.

Now do away with uPlay and you just may regain that respect that so many once had for you.

If you held off on Rome II because of all the launch-day bugs, it's actually a pretty solid game now.

Attila isn't bad either, but the one negative thing about this the Total War series is the nickel-and-dime DLC.

Want to play someone other than these 5-6 factions?

$7.99USD (if it isn't on sale) nets you three factions, from each DLC (meaning, to play as about a dozen other factions right now costs you more than the game - the 5-6 factions at the start, the large map, all of the mechanics and units already included). Even the publisher's aware, as they now try advertising their Free-LC, of which they've released one and are "soon" to release another.

TL;DR
Total War games all have a solid core and are fun, but - damn - do they try to squeeze more and more money every game via unlocking factions to play.

10 maps didn't sound bad until they said 50 ideas.

Glad to know they've got so many maps for us to pay extra for.

Likely won't pick up the pass until it goes on sale, if ever, but I'll still be grabbing the game. Loved JC2 and enjoying the underrated Mad Max, can't pass up JC3.

Non-issue. Every Bethesda game has DLC, and - aside from a few eyebrow-raisers, like horse armor - they're quality.

I have no issues with them discussing DLC, especially when they've already stated that Fallout 4 is finished, aside from bug squashing.
