I've seen police training how to arrest people and act out certain situations with real people, rather than virtual ones. It's much better training to physically do something than to press a button on a controller. Playing a first-person shooter doesn't train you how to shoot, reload or even handle a gun. And pressing a few buttons here and there isn't going to teach you how to subdue and arrest someone. What's that old saying - "Get out more". Someone needs to tell that to the FBI. Do some real training instead of sat inside playing video games all day.

I've been saying this for a while now - that Sony doesn't need to make a next generation console yet. In fact, Technology hasn't really advanced that much in order to warrant a new generation of any kind. The Wii-U isn't next gen, it's just Nintendo finally moving into the current gen. The next Xbox is probably only going to be enough to catch up with the technology the PS3 has (Blu-Ray in-particular). So while M$ and Ninty are making new consoles (but NOT new generation consoles), Sony is not. But this does not mean Sony are out of the race or stopping making consoles forever, it just means there current console is more than enough to stand up to what the others bring out next. When the next generation finally does come. Nintendo won't be in the running as they have only just managed to catch up with the generation. That's not to say they won't release a new console. It just means it won't be next gen.

AC1 is an amazing game and still the best in the series. Planning your actions and constantly trying to pull off a perfect assassination was the key feature of the game. Having a strong emphasis on stealth only helps set this game apart. AC2 and it's expansions introduced 100% sync tasks and made the missions very linear. Linear to the point that you are barely in control any more. All you have to do is run/climb from point A to B with no concern as to anything else. They took all the thinking and strategy out it. AC2 practically threw out the identity and potential AC1 had and became a stale and formulaic action game. The only game where I actually felt like an assassin was AC1. There was only 1 criticism about AC1 - repetitiveness. That's why the sequels have all these bells and whistles. But they only serve to distract people from the poor story-telling and the lack of freedom/control to player has during missions. In the end I feel the potential AC1 had will never be realized because the franchise has gone in the direction of the casual market.

I couldn't empathize with Ezio or the other characters from AC2 onwards. They were lifeless and boring (with only a few exceptions). A lot of the times there are no reasons to feel anything towards these characters. Other times I just simply can't relate - None of my family or friends have been hanged or murdered in any way. The books, by Oliver Bowden, do a way better job of bringing the characters to life. Contrary to what people think about AC1 - I believe it told the best story and had way more interesting characters. Out of the rest, Revelation's story made the most sense, but it was too short and there was zero character development.

Can't we just boycott America? Maybe ship their country off to another galaxy far far away?

Have to agree with the answer regarding movies. I wish more games companies were in a similar frame of mind, instead of selling out.

They all look good and they all look similar, so what's the point of this comparrison. I think it's sad and pathetic that people actually care about the difference of 3 pixels, and even more so when they get passionate about it and let it effect their purchase decision.
