@killeridis Bethesda would have commissioned ZeniMax to make this game. Bethesda wouldn't then go ahead and make another Elder Scrolls since it would be in direct competition with the MMO. It would be bad for business if they did that.
Not a fan of the art style. Characters done in a manga style does NOT suit the Diablo universe what-so-ever. And the colouring/shading just looks flat and uninteresting. Think I'm going to skip over watching that one.
@Wormkid_64: I agree with pretty much all you said. As for the CoD thing though: Yes they are flooding the market with something that is popular as sells well, but that's only because the consumers keep buying it over and over. It's for this reason that companies start worrying less about the quality of games and more about the quantity.
@JustPlainLucas: "Locking out used games just isn't a good business practice. It's a knee jerk reaction instead of a more sustainable solution" That's what I keep saying. But people seem to think I'm all for banning used games completely. While I don't condone this method of business, I also don't condone buying used games over new - if possible. "How many times have you been hesitant to try a game because it was too much new, so you found a good deal on it used?" If I'm hesitant to try a game I won't buy it, new or used. There are so many games out there that I want that I simply can't afford to buy them all. So I prioritise and buy only the "must have" games on my list. If I have any money spare I may buy one lower on the list or an impulse buy at a store, or even just save it until the next "must have" comes along. Either way, I always buy new. There are plenty of places online to buy games new that are just as cheap (but usually cheaper) than used games at a retailer.
@WCK619: I've mentioned several times that I don't agree with their methods for trying to stop used sales and pirating. And I'm not saying used games should be banned outright. What I'm trying to point out to those who refuse to believe it is that used games and pirating have such a negative effect on the industry - and the methods these companies are using to battle it are a result of it. People seem to be putting the blame squarely on the devs and publishers. That's not true. Yes, they aren't handling the situation well, but they can't be fully blamed for being in this situation in the first place.
