@BobTheFluffer Correction, the people complaining that this MMO will only be on PC and that they won't be able to use a controller are the console users.

But not all the complainers are console users. And the fact that it won't be on console has no effect on a lot of people. Nice generalising you got going there.

@ItsHotOnTheSun @Hodax The whole of Tamriel was featured in the original Elder Scrolls "Arena". Don't see why that would be so hard to do in an MMO considering it would be done using instances anyway.

On top of that they could just reuse the map of Cyrodil, Skyrim and possibly Morrowind from the last few games. With some updated textures and models.

@Hodax Wasn't it mentioned that the game will cover the whole of Tamriel?

@brollyandvegeta I haven't played Morrowind (started with Oblivion), but I do agree that the fighting system needs an update. It's just a little too simplistic for my liking. I really think the console controllers limit the possibilities of what they can do.

I like how the fighting engine works in Mount & Blade, but I think that would only really work with a mouse.

They'd have been better adding Co-op support into an TES game before jumping straight into an MMO.

@adidas32x

(Reply function won't work so I'll do it the old-fashioned way.)

It matters not if this MMO was being developed at the same time as Skyrim. The only thing that matters is the release date. The fact that it won't be out until next year means that Skyrim will have been out for 2 years by then.

A 2 year gap in releasing games means they won't interfere with each others sales.

Also, Bethesda own The Elder Scrolls IP and they have only commissioned ZeniMax to make this game for them. Bethesda are still in control and will still be make money from it regardless.

If another TES game is made and released alongside this MMO they will be in direct competition. And since Bethesda own the IP they will essential be in competition with themselves.

@YawningGamer It's more likely to be the TES killer than a WoW killer. Similar to how WoW killed the Warcraft RTS games.

@mackh123 As I have mentioned before. Making a game like this will mean they won't be making another single-player TES game (at least for a while anyway).

It's not a matter of simply skipping over this game and waiting for the next because there may not be a next (depending on how well this game does).

Look at Warcraft, there hasn't been another sequel since WoW got released. WoW was essentially the demise of Warcraft RTS games.

I see this as a game designed specifically to piss off TES fans. Are there any TES fans who are actually looking forward to this?
