The majority of people who hate TB are Blizzard fanboys who are pissed off about him not doing the Mists of Pandaria and saying negative things about Diablo 3.

This is ironic because TB loves SC2 and even now sponsers a newly formed SC2 team called Axiom. The SC2 community (myself included) are quite fond of TB :)

[QUOTE="ionusX"]

[QUOTE="Ravenshout"] WoW has got some of the best quests ever designed in MMO. Sure there are few quests here and there, but generally it's better than other MMOs.

Also, Guild Wars 2 doesn't have the same writing quality.

HyperWarlock

hahahaha no it doesnt its quests are nothing to write home about and never have been. they consists of 3-4 different variations on the same generic quests formula used over and over.

as for writing quality thats a matter of your opininion but im going to doubt that overnight they went fro lore perverting main charatcer sidelining and abuse of the alliance as a faction to bringing everyone to equal footing. mmmhmm warcraft as a univrse has become a 1 faction game with the 2nd factions only real point in existance being the abiltiy to have opponents in PvP and for the sake of having an alternative to a band of fugly mutants and a race of magic addicted pretty boys.

WoW post vanilla has become little more than a high successful game that has flogged its first 2.5 franchise installments to death for the sake of turning a prfoit.. and is now in the process of slowly wiping out half of its characters in order to maintain some semblance of a lore from its remaining 1.5 franchise installments.

i dont you dare think they didnt just lop off several important characters with TBC

I have no idea what you're talking about, you just sound like a pathetic little kid hating on something that is popular.

Haters gonna hate :) I have been playing both GW2 and WoW:MoP and have been enjoying them both immensly.

Definitely gameplay. Stories in games just do not captivate me as much as it does in other mediums like books, movies and tv shows. In fact I would rate game atmosphere and visuals over story.

I have played 4 out of the 5 games listed and I would have to say GW2 is the best of this bunch. However my favourite game of 2012 so far has been DotA 2 ;)

Aside from some UI quirks and health/mana potion reliance (much prefer health globes), TL2 has been quite enjoyable. I do hope someone makes a mod for respeccing in the future as I can see myself getting bored with the one spec in the long term.

Coming from someone who got into Wow around the time Cataclysm released, I'd say no.

I say this because virtually all of the content before the latest expansion, in this case Cataclysm, is no longer being done. Which means you will be missing out on the Raids from vanilla, TbC, WotlK, and it will be an insanely long time before you are geared enough to raid Cataclysm. In my experience of course. By no means what I am saying is the absolute truth, I am merely saying what happened with my ~4-5 months with the game. The dungeons are rather... dull after so many times of repetitively running them, and I never got the chance to do some of the funner, higher level/difficulty content.

However, every server is different and your time with WoW may be significantly different than mine was. If you are curious, by all means go for it. Be prepared for a decently long learnnig curve of how everything works, and get ready to be booted from many a dungeon run for inexperience.

Growing pains of course. But the game was indeed a good time for how long I played.

It's all up to you at the end of the day.

I remember while playing WotLK people would form raid pugs and complete older raids for achievements, chance of rare mounts and to have fun. These raid pugs typically occurred on weekends if your realm and faction were reasonably active.Heck my mate and I farmed specific bosses in ZG for rare mounts and Onyxia for easy gold.

What about for gaming guys? Is it going to be any good?hrt_rulz01

Windows 7 vs Windows 8 Performance Comparison:

http://www.techspot.com/review/561-windows8-vs-windows7/page3.html

Based on the review linked above, Windows 8 is marginally worse or the same when compared to Windows 7 gaming performance wise. Keep in mind this is based on a small sample size of games so take this with a grain of salt.

I don't know about "best game available on PC today" but it certainly is quite enjoyable. Most my gaming time has been spent on DotA2 however but CS:GO as of late has been my number 2 choice.
