What is the most addictive game you played?

Well the most addictive game I have ever played is Galactic Civilizations 2. First time I thought it was stupid. So I tryed the demo. LOVED IT. Ran out bought the game and played it on my laptop. Started playing on monday 10:00 am. The next thing I know it was 11:00 pm. The very next day I woke up the next day at 5:00 am. and played until noon. Then my laptop shut down because it was too hot and now im writing this....

Should of excluded Wow alot will say that.. For me Titan Quest! I've put so many 100's of hrs in this game, just like leveling the characters and collecting loot.

GTA: Vice City and Diablo II.

This. I don't even like WoW that much to be honest, yet it's so addicting I just keep coming back. I've wasted too much on that game man. Or have I? In the end, even though a gigantic time consumer, I did have fun so I guess that's what really counts. What's worse tho is that I've never played arena nor raided lol...

Yeah, at some point WoW had surpassed the original EverQuest as the most addicting game for me.

GalCiv2 is a dangerous game. This summer, I was with some friends on an island. So, I had one of my laptopts with me, for some anime during the 'dead' hours. You can imagine, an 18yr old, friends, summer, lots of girls. Then I find out I have this Galactic Civilisations 2 installed in this laptop. I remember buying it years ago and not really liking it, so, meh, let's try it again. Spent my whole time playing GalCiv2 on that laptop. Friends were calling me to go out, I didn't even pick up the phone. I didn't even know what time or day it was. The game is THAT addicting.

I demand my summer holidays back Stardock! You should put a warning in your games!

MMORPGs will generally be the most addictive since a major thing for developing an MMORPG is hiring psychologists and other professionals to figure out how to get a player addicted and how to keep them addicted, and it's the only genre that depends on player addiction to thrive. Of the many MMORPGs I've played, I'd have to say Tibia is by far the most addictive, WoW second, Eve third. When you have a game where there are hidden areas of the map, secret quests very few if any players know about, super rare loot drops(e.g 1 in 2,000,000), secret spawns at certain parts of the map at certain times in the day, open pvp, real estate you can purchase in-game, and a clean user interface that doesn't force you to use voice chat programs like ventrilo and skype to communicate with other players, of course you'll get a disastrously addictive game.

Basically, if you don't mind the graphics, Tibia will grab you and never let you go, you'll need to go to rehab or something to quit this game.

Morrowind, I spent months in that game!

I got pretty addicted to fallout new vegas

Anyone beat my friend? He has over 2000hrs on tf2 and thats all gameplay. I think i bought at same time and have a little over 200hrs.

World of Warcraft. Others include The Sims and Warcraft II. It seems to be RTS games that I find the most addictive with the possible exception of GTA III.

most addictive ever would probably be the eraly pokemon games, i think my entire generation zoned out for 3 years playing them

People have wasted 100 of hours in a game, I've wasted over 2 years in MK2/3/4 and SF2 with those turbo SSF2 , alpha nad stuff :P And then there's around 100s of hours in Q3TA, then UT2004 then WoW, after that Oblivion, then MW ... and we've finished my best moments of 1993-2011 :P

Most addictive ? No such thing ... all games have their charm for each individual out there ... hell, I even thought Sex tetris was fun back in the late 90s ... you never know:lol:

Pokemon Silver by far. For PC games though it has to be some of the early Command and Conquer games, mostly Red Alert 2 though. I played the hell out of those.SF_KiLLaMaN

Mount and Blade Warband for me.

In this order - Ultima 1-4, Bard's Tale, Elite, Balder's Gate 1 & 2, Fallout 1 & 2, Planetscape Torment, FFXI, & last WOW.

Have to go with the majority and say WoW, but I think I'm burnt out now. It was a good run though.

Guild Wars for me, i was so addicted to the PvP that i got Gladiator 8

I guess PC only? Probably StarCraft or Ragnarok Online. Overall it would be Disgaea (PS2, PSP, NDS) though

1. RPGS like the following: Gothic 1-3, Elderscrolls Morrowind, Divine Divinity, Arx Fatalis, The Witcher, Fallout1/2/New Vegas, Ultima,etc..

2. Building games: Simcity, Dawn Of Discovery, Tropico series. Im not a big strategy fan (RTS) but for some reason these games are SOOOO addicting to me, can play em over and over again.

3. Team work/Objective Based online FPS: ARMA2, Rainbow Six (originals), Ghost Recon, Battlefield, Wolfenstien:Enemy Territores, Brink, Shadowrun,etc...

I get the most addicted to good rpgs though I think, I just love getting pulled into the game world and story,etc.

Others = Ultima Online, Quake 1, Dune2, Diablo2, Warcraft2, Police Quest series and Oregon Trail

I once played Vice City online for 17 hours straight, only left my chair to go to the bathroom.

I broke the record for most kills at that time, 2 days later a guy from a rival gang came on the forums and had it broken with like 5 kills lmao

At first I thought galactic civilization was a space game with no space battle. After you get into a good race its so addictive. Stardock is amazing.

Dark Age of Camelot!! Oh the memories. 15 hour game sessions at times, which I am sure is nothing compared to some of you nuts lol.

I've been pretty addicted to L4D 2 versus and DoW 2: Retribution's competitive multiplayer in the last year.

I don't usually get addicted to games for longer than a few days

WoW. End game raiding for 6 hours a night, arena every few hours...never again, too much of a time sink (not that it wasn't entertaining).

Civilization. Titan Quest can also become pretty addicting once you get into it, I'll be killing stuff and not notice that an hour or two has gone by.
