I hardly ever use Steam for games... but I had a chance to try out some new MMO's today.
Sooo, I started downloading DC Universe, aaand at the highest peak it was 5.5mb/s, and 3.7mb/s on a regular dl speed.
Is it good for Steam? Or not?
Game has 20gb, It feels like forever to download....though it's not that bad.

I have a 35mb/s download speed and that get me a 4.0MB/s speed on Steam

yea, I have 100mb/s and they say it's the fastest connection in my country, on speedtest net I had 94mb/s DL and ~40mb/s UL.
But... speed is dependant on what and where I'm downloadin files from...

Yeah this university has like the fastest net in southern hemisphere or something crazy like that I think. Earlier this year I speed tested at 400mb/s and can get 30mb/s downloading off Origin. Once you use 200mb in a day they cap your speed, so what you're seeing on the speed test is the capped speed :P I will try and do a speed test tomorrow before I use 200mb and see if I can get 400 again. Managed to get this uncapped, although it varies on how many students are using the internet I think.I'm in Australia:

It peaks at 10 mb per sec, usually 4-5, but this is the problem when the servers are busy
