You can buy yourself a wired or wireless xbox controller for PC which I personally use for my PC platform, driving and fighting games. However many genres on the PC tend to favour mouse+keyboard setup which include RTS, MMO, MOBA and FPS where using a controller will put you at an inherent disadvantage.

The mouse+keyboard setup is superb once you get the hang of it so I encourage you to stick with it and reap in the benefits once you become accustomed to it.

It's a good game.

People expected it to be the second coming of gaming. It wans't. It has an 88 on Metacritic, just like Diablo 2.If there was something so wrong with the game that it is absolutly horrible, it wouldn't have that score. Everybody is being way the hell over dramatic about it.

At the end of the day it's fun to play the game with the various characters for a few times but it doesn't have the longevity that Diablo 2 had because Diablo 2 had dozens of patches an an expansion pack. I'll tell you from experience, Diablo 2 had more than it's fair share of problems in the year it was released. Everybody conveniently forgot about that and has thrown Diablo 3 to the wolves.

Hell, World of Warcraft wasn't even that great the first year, it only really took off after Burning Crusade. Even Starcraft 2 had a lukewarm start. It's Blizzards never ending support that keeps those games going.

Expectations were to damn high. When you see a Blizzard game you don't see a game that is amazing at launch and stays amazing forever, you see a game that has a lot of potential and keeps growing and growing as time goes on. That's been the story with pretty much every single Blizzard game. These games are measured in years, not months.

With Diablo 3 you can play the game a few times with several characters and multiple people and it's a lot of fun. I don't know how much more people were expecting it to be. It doesn't have end-game content, Diablo games never did. That didn't change because we as a community begged Blizzard for years and years because we wanted an experience really close to Diablo 2. We got that.

I understand the issue with the loot system, but those things can be fixed with time. I still think throwing the game to the wolves because of it is not right. I think a lot of us have outgrown our patients for grinding loot too. Why do you think all of the major MMOs today focus less and less on grinding loot and more about other content? Loot grinding is a very exploitable and boring venture.

I whole heartedly agree. Blizzard games tend to become exceptional over time with the introduction of expansion pack(s) and on-going support.

Going back on topic, it makes me a little sad that SC2 has sold less copies than D3 but it probably makes sense with D3 being more casual friendly and the controversy that was South Korea 2 years ago.

Looks like RETAIL is still the winner here. Could be because of bandwidth speeds and caps but I just still think lots of people prefer the box.

Once our internet infrastructure in Australia is upgraded past the medieval era and most people wise up to how outrageous game costs are in Australia, I believe digital will become the most preferred option.

I only first played Half Life last year and loved everything from the opening sequence to the ending so maybe this game may not be for you.

This is why Australians, including myself, resort to importing games and/or buying digitally. Long live the internet :D

Batman Arkham City, Witcher 2, Dead Island, Sol Survivor, Beat Hazard, Pay Day Heist, Bit Trip Beat, Bejeweled 3 and Alice Madness Returns.

Total so far is around $70 (AUS) so I am pretty happy so far. To think the sale has only begun..
