@skyhighgam3r: They legitimately bought the original Jaguar case molds, so no issue there. And I believe the controller is a third party Wii U Pro controller which they said won't give them any problems from Nintendo. This thing was destined to fail at the original price point they were discussing ($250 or thereabouts if I remember correctly), so hopefully the new partnership with Coleco will let them price it competitively.
If anything it's practically a trend for Kojima. If you've ever played Snatcher and see how much was copied from Blade Runner and Terminator, it's really not surprising.
Donkey Kong on Atari 2600. And this was about 1987/88 or so, so it was really old news compared to the NES. But I was 4 or 5 so I didn't care and didn't know any better. We only had a 13" black and white tv for it, never knew the 2600 games were in color for a long time. lol
With the delays to the new Zelda Wii U game and the mysterious NX looming in the not-too-distant future I can't help but want to believe this. Could this mean the new Zelda got bumped to the NX and this HD release is an apology to placate the Zelda fans until the new Zelda is done?
@jerses: I don't personally have a desire to get married and believe far too many people get married who shouldn't. But this is a truly awful thing to say and isn't the least but funny. Have fun with your angry, lonely, spiteful twilight years one day.
I have a large library of Steam games, several of which are older releases. Does anyone know if all games will work natively (since the OS is based on Linux)? Or would every game need patched to work? If Valve couldn't patch them, I doubt they would be able to get all the developers to patch their games. That might make more than a few people hesitate before they purchase a Steam Machine.
I have a feeling this is less about money and more about forcing people to try using Kinect. They know some people will put off buying a headset (which will probably be in short supply on purpose) and will then try using Kinect. They know a lot of us don't want it so they're hoping by strong-arming people into using Kinect we'll realize it's every bit as awesome as MS says it is and spread the word. Maybe it is as simple as $$$, but I don't think so.
