I figure they're killing it now to get those production facilities started cranking out the NES Classic II, or a SNES Classic. That way they'll have more units available (hopefully) in time for this holiday. And maybe their projections show they would make less money having the first NES Classic and a new one on shelves at the same time so all efforts and resources are being reallocated. I think they would absolutely make more selling both at once, but what do I know? I'm just some dude on a comment thread.

I don't really care what platform this is on, I just know I'll get it wherever I can. But isn't this more or less what Microsoft did with Tomb Raider a couple years back, hinting at exclusivity but then it actually wasn't? And everyone completely flipped their $h!t. I know this release isn't on the same level of visibility and hype as that Tomb Raider was, but I'll bet Sony doesn't receive the same response MS did. Just an observation...

Huh, someone who takes Madden way too serious at a super-competitive level turns out to be a giant d-bag. I'm sure I'm far from the only one who finds this not at all surprising.

@Lach0121: There's a Die Hard FPS on Gamecube (NTSC) and Xbox (PAL). And another FPS Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza on PC.

For a first person Predator game, try Aliens versus Predator 1 & 2 (PC only). I think the second one still holds up surprisingly well. Has alien and marine campaigns too.

There was already some legal precedent from an earlier and similar lawsuit

Coincidentally, I've been playing through it for the 1st time and it's great. I've enjoyed it far more than any other JRPG I've tried (admittedly, I'm not really much of a JRPG fan) and it has genuinely surprised me. I'm at the last "quest", the run up to the end and should knock it out this weekend. I wasn't sure if the hype was real since I couldn't get into some of the other heavy hitter from the 16-bit era, but this one is a standout. Don't know if it needs a remake/remaster, but everyone should try it in some form.

Maybe he just doesn't want to spend the next 8 or so years potentially tied to the same franchise. He already went through that with Halo for a long stretch and doesn't want to do it again?

@raugutcon: Yep, no campaign = no buy for me. Just not into MP. Hopefully they add one, blowing $*#! up in mechs is almost always fun.
