My dad digs his 360, we play online 1 night a week while we have a few beers; which is pretty cool when you don't live close. Seems wierd to me that more of your parents don't play games, it started in their generation.

whoever is wanting XBL for free needs a kick in the pants, as they obviously dont understand that gaming systems, and have enver really put thier heart into any game that requires online play. Battlefield players on PC, pare known for paying for thier servers, thier vent/Teamspeak, and websites. MMORPG players pay 15/mth just to play the game, and that doesnt include the teamspeak/vent payments. some PC gamers are spending over 100/mth just to play, so a 65 buck charge for all the services that are offered.....yeah, more then reasonable. if you dont have the 65 bucks a YEAR to pay for the XBL, maybe you shouldnt have spend the hundreds on the system, as you obvious have financial issues. Thats about 5.50 per month. you cant even get a big mac meal for that supersized.....

Basically, if your complaining, because you shouldnt have to spend hundreds on a system, and then pay for online on top, remember that you are paying for the SYSTEM. you are still able to play ALL THE GAMES with out online. (except maybe Shadown Run and some RPGs, which has it stated on the back you will have to have the XBL account). Thats like saying i bought the car, i shouldnt have to pay for the gas. dont be idiots.

Obviously a score of 1.0 is by somebody that has some sad issues. So far the game has had high marks so anything from 8.0-10.0 would be the most common. I am sure some people would find the game 6.0-7.0 just because taste vary. I picked it up 5 hours ago and just got home so I shall see. If you like the Halo series I am sure it's a safe bet.

Disk-based medium has always sucked. It just gets worse in HD/BR. Why don't they build a simple casing like a 3.5 floppy, because selling the same product twice to the same consumer is double the money!

That Onkyo system looks pretty nice. Although THAT set-up is made for people on a budget; Onkyo is among the best made.

"and to live's graphics they look horrible in motion, the dunk animations look funny and clunky and there is just an overall lack of detail and depth in gameplay....They also make it darker and dont have nearly as much detail in the crowd, this allows them to focus more on the players...

I actually like 2k's graphics better because I consider animations part of graphics and 2ks players move much smoother..."

Yes, that IS very much a part of graphics. I don't really find one better than the other in still-frame. Once animation comes into play it is no contest. The same goes for the football games. It seems that VC just nails animation. They also seem to nail realistic gameplay.

Last year one game was great and the other was a turd; I don't think it will be that far apart this year. The NBA LIVE demo controls a ton better than the previous games. Maybe EA just reloaded the whole NBA dev. team, but whatever they did, the game is MUCH better. As good as 2Ks? Can't wait to find-out.......

Ya, Lambos have become much better cars now that the Germans are making them. The older ones were more fun to look at than drive.

Nice to see a few Ducati's, it should be an interesting version of PGR.

The game is nothing special. It can be fun but it's nothing to "talk" about.

The problem is, TH:Whatever is about grinding powerlines and mad combos with 80ft of air, and that is fun. SKATE is, what I do when I am skating, except it lacks all the fun aspects of doing it. SKATE seems redundant, why buy the game when you could buy some new trucks or a new deck? And no, it doesn't compare to most other sports as it is a singular sport. I guess the appeal is that while hitting that Super-Sized burger, fries and drink you can pretend that you are kill'n it. Some SIM games are great, simming skateboarding doesn't seem so. Beyong that, the camera is horrid but maybe that is just the demo-only version. I'll rent it if I can use Big Black as my skater.
