I'm also new to the game. I've watched my friends play a lot, so I figured I'd try out the game to see if it's something worth getting into. Once I've played a little, I'll hit you up.

Just as a disclaimer, I do not actually equate Assassin's Creed with Call of Duty, they're two very different franchises so comparing them is moot. However, Assassin's Creed seems to be going down a similar road, considering that we've seen a new AC title every year for four years, soon to be five, in a row. Personally, I feel like this is over-saturation, regardless of the quality of the games. While the AC games have managed to be good games consistently, putting out too many too quickly seems like a good way to cause gamer fatigue and lose a fair amount of players. So, any thoughts on this issue? Is Assassin's Creed releasing too many titles too fast, or do you like having a new game each year?

My first controller was used, it came with my system. It was already kind of warn out, and one of the buttons sticks. My other controller isn't bad, but I've heard some guys online talk about certain controllers that work really great for FPS games, and I'd kinda like to try one. I searched Gamestop, but there's a dozen types all claiming to be the best, so i'd like to get a little input from other gamers.

As the title suggests, I'm looking for a good contoller optimized for shooters. Money is relatively tight so I won't be spending more $100, but I do want to get something of good quality that won't break down on me. So, any suggestions?

Call me a fanboy but Halo 5 and 6 will be on the new XBOX system so that's what I'm getting. Also, I'd be willing to bet that it will be cheaper than buying a PS4, as buying an island made of gold is more affordable than a Sony system at launch. I really hope it isn't called the 720, I just think that's a really weak, and stupid name. There aren't enough Sony exclusives for me to justify getting a Sony system when all other titles will be released on XBOX. I don't really care which one has better graphics, as long as Microsoft doesn't force me to use Kinect on every game, I'll be getting their new system.

I'm not going to wade through six pages of thread, but am I alone in thinking the box art is fine? I mean it's not as cool looking as Halo 4, or TTT2, but it's not bad. I'd give it 7/10. I think they're trying to make this protaganist a little more down to earth than Jack or Subject Delta, and thus more relatable. Part of this is showing his face outright. Also I think they didn't put Elizabeth on the cover to avoid further allegations of over-sexualizing their characters.

Next gen consoles will move to UE4. The UE3 will be alot cheaper aswell as other last gen engines the vita could cope with, which the 3DS can not. Assasins Creed, Call of Duty , Jet set radio are not on 3DS because it carn't handle em. Just like FIFA on 3DS uses a crappy Wii/PS2 engine while Vita uses current gen enigne. 3DS may have snake eater but it took alot of dev time to port it and still lags like a SOB. Vita just got the HD collection because it could play it easy with consoles at 60 fps. DOA annouced recently for Vita and WiiU..not 3DS see my point.

3DS has already used its Mario after Mario games. Sony has all its big exclusives to use. Killzone, infamous, God of war +++

What does the 3DS have? Monster hunter... Well its coming to WiiU and Soul Sacrifice looks better. And what's stopping MH from coming to vita? Its Capcom for god sake. GTA vita exclusive end of 2013 mark it down nubs!

You seem to be of the opinion that graphics are everything, but you fail to recognize the myriad of games that the 3DS currently has and the ones that are lined up for it, that will most likely sell well (Phoenix Wright Vs. Prof. Layton for example). Sony has the better tech for sure, but that hasn't exactly helped them dominate the current gen of consoles. Until relatively recently even the Wii had outsold the PS3, despite have piss-poor graphics in comparison. Next-gen graphics won't mean jack if the Vita doesn't get quality titles, even a GoW, or Ratchet game might help bolster sales.

Pong has a better story than both, and the graphics are out of this world.
