i have an older HDTV that doesn't do 720p, but it works just fine with 1080i for some reason.

Does the 360's resolution setting effect performance? I have GTA IV downloaded from games on demand aswell, and I only have a tiny 20gig HD which really is barely big enough for two full games. I'm deleting games and redownloading them all the time and I haven't noticed any downgrade in performance. I am however still using lame 'ol 480i.

I didn't realize you could actually save full games to an external disk. How well does it compare to running off an external as opposed to the 360 HDD?

That's just where you set up your Live account. Costs 800 MS points to change your name and such. Not sure how he'd hack it that way.

Yeah he could have just bought an account online or something and changed the name. Huge waste of money, IMO. I couldn't care less about GS as long as it's 500+

The problem with Steam is that once you put in the serial number for a game you purchased through it, they own it and can take it away if they want to. It's linked to your account, and if your account gets banned you're SOL. Granted it's rare unless you're being malicious. If you shoot yourself in the foot and get banned from XBL, you can still use the same game as long as you have a the physical disc on a different account.

if its halo always because im on it so much..........plus halo games heat up the console alot....

Yeah same here. I dunno why but it sounds like the disc drive on my system is working SO hard to read the disc. I've made sure it's not warped or scratched or anything. I ended up just installing it onto the harddrive, and now it runs smooth and quiet.
