Are the differences between pc or psn against xbl though the last few years really worth 250 bucks ?

remember things like firmware updates, in game music, in game xmb and access to online stores are not part of psn, xbl or are free on a silver account.

I've been on XBOX LIVE a lot longer than that...AND I have had 2 Xbox's and 2 Xbox 360's...do that math!

Definitely turns out I guess I could afford a PS3 and Wiii! :P

We haven't got to the odd point system for purchases that allow for extra "leftover points", peripherals I bought since the 20gig HDD became useless overtime, HDDVD player etc, and the time I lost waiting for my 3 RRODs and 1 E74 to return home...but I don't think about it.

Hey, I just hope the next Xbox is super improved when it comes to reliability.

I'm proud of my 100,000+ Gamerscore I earned though. :) ...until the next machine.

A price observation that in all reality means absolutely nothing.

My friend is a good example.

A rough guesstimate would say he's played probably a 50 hous on his PS3 with games like God of War, Uncharted etc.

Another rough guesstimate would be that he's probably played probably close to a years worth of time on XBL with all the only games on the 360.

I guess because he's had to spend $250 on online fees alone that that means he got more value out of the PS3? Nope.

I would never pay to play random online games.....the same games that I've already paid for the online mechanics. Battlefield Bad Company 2 was $60 and I paid my $60 specifically for them to put the online code on the disk. If I was only supposed to get half the game, then the game should be HALF THE PRICE.

i been paying for 2 years. first time. i bought that xboxlive messenger kit. that came with pgr4, messenger pad, headset, and 12 month card all for 69 bucks. i took the game back and got 40 bucks store credit and used that to buy a second controller. this year i bought a 12 month card off amazon for 40 bucks no tax or shipping.

That's actually not bad. I've paid almost $500 CDN (really need to switch to buying 12-month cards :P ), yet it really doesn't bother me that much.
