Our system has always been (ahem) Elite.  :D  I feel sorry for anyone who got a 360 back when they came out, pretty much useless without HDMI.  One heck of a business model Microsoft has there.

1.  Introduce 2 systems: Core 360 and Premium 360

2.  Say that "HDMI is not all that important" (kinda reminds me of the time Gates said the Internet was a fad :D)

3.  Notice how much the PS3 rocks, introduce 360 Elite with HDMI (and make it black no less) , and then get sued by all the suckered original 360 owners.

People complain about the PS3 price but if you were an original 360 owner and then had to turn around a get a new system you end up spending close to $800 to get what you get with a PS3 for $600 :D

Next year they will introduce the Uber Elite 360, that one will have a tray in the back where you can toast bread.  Hey, you can fix the heat issues or you can use them to toast bread ;)

I think their research is primarily aimed at finding a cure or new treatments for Alzheimer's Disease.  But I am sure it will help cancer research.

Really wishing they had this project on BIONIC, I run Climate Prediction and those models are HUGE, been running the latest one off and on for 4 months and am not quite to 70%.  I tried to run both FAH and CP at the same time but that does not work well, just slows both projects down.

At least if it were on Bionic, I could have it "switch" between projects each hour.  If I had a dual core or a quad core CPU it would be no big deal.

I was just messing around in the network tab, testing the wireless setup (works great so far) and noticed something under the account management that said something about ACTIVATE MACHINE.  I did it but I don't see anything different, what does that do for me??  I was kinda worried it might be like Windows XP where if you don't activate it it stops working in a month :D

My PS3 does 3-4 WUs a day where as my PC takes 1-2 days to do one, but I think the WUs are bigger on the PC.  So what is better, the PC or the PS3?

For anyone who wants a good wireless router for less than $40.00 the ****** is the way to go.   Its the Wireless G model, 2.4 Ghz.  Took me all of 6 mins and I was downloading a demo on my PS3 wireless.  Helps when you read the instructions (took me over an hour last fall to get my Vonage adapter thing to work, found out you had to hook them up in a very specific way.)

I downloaded the NBA demo last night, took about 30-45 mins.  That is pretty good, was getting about 900Kbps so the network was running well.  Gonna try a multiplayer game here and test it.  The PS3 says the signal strength is only 75%, but this is a fairly lower power model.  Don't want anyone hacking my wireless :D  I got it pass-worded anyway.

Looks like there is no issue.  I think I really need to leave the Vonage Adaptor first in line becasue if I had the wireless router first and it lost the connection for whatever reason, I would not be able to get any phone calls.  At least this way Vonage is number one in the string and even if the router goes down I can still get calls.

I got the wireless router so I can do Folding@Home on my PS3 AND my PC at the same time, then they can both use the network.

I have a PS3 and have been using the last hour with the new Benkin Wireless Router I got.  Anyway here is a list of the things I have in order of connection:

1:  Cable Modem

2:  Vonage Phone Adapter

3:  Wireless Router (PC and Vonage are wired into this)

4:  PC

Now my question is this:  Is it best to have the router as the first thing or the Vonage Box?  I got everything set up about an hour ago and it seemed fine, then all the sudden the router went offline.  Had to reboot the Vonage box to get the router to wake up again.  The PS3 hooks in fine, even though it says the sig strenth is about 75%.

I just did a GP last night and WON (first win) and did not have an issue. Could be I just found that sweet spot where everything aligned in just the wrong way and the connection was severed.

Looks like GS took my complaints about their craptastic forum and did something, works great now (even has GASP! spell checking!)

I was playing last night, doing a career and was at Bahrain.  Anyway near the end of the race I was in a hairpin turn and all the sudden the car just kept turning.  Then I see the message NO SUPPORTED CONTROLERS.  I hit the PS button and got it back but it made me worry.  Has anyone else ever had this happen?  The battery was full so that was not it.
