I was over at a friends house the other night wowing them with my latest tech purchase, the PS3 and at some point he remembered he had a blue-tooth camera phone.  We tried for a bit to get the two to link up but never could.  Does this work or is the BT functionality just limited to game stuff?

The only thing I dont like is all the hot games for the next gens are FSP. I hate FPS on the console, the control is tough.  Much better on the PC.  For me F1 Racing is the best, the Sixaxis steering works like a dream.

For those who like a nice quiet game experience:

1.  PS3 = Have to put your ear right next to the vent to hear anything

2.  360: Sounds like a lawn mower eating a cat ;)

So if you want a nice quiet machine, get the PS3.  I just got one and love it.  I was thinking of doing FOLDING@Home but then thought better of it, really really dont wanna burn up my PS3 running it 24/7 (and I already do those projects on my PC, no wonder my electic bill is $83/month)

Ill do more looking but I may just settle for the Magnavox.  Good price and it should be coming now in price even more (dropped almost $400 bucks in the first 4 months we had it).

the "experts" claim that LCD TV prices will be dropping between 20%-30% over the next year.  I can just see it now.  Its 2011 and tube tvs have gone the way of the dinosaurs.  Shopping in your local electronic store, you see HDTV LCDs in the 40-50 inch range that cost $200-300 bucks.  The thought hits you:  People used to spend over a GRAND for that just a few years ago!

Never really thought of the size issue of the TV.  If it were higher on the number it would look smaller.  I really dont want anything bigger, my aparment is too small :D  Id have to sit outside the window to see it good.  My goal is to having something, oh in about 6 months....sometime in mid October, some game comes out then, cant remember the name....hmmmm ;)

I dont really care about rumble, its the first thing on the controller to break :D  I like the Sixaxis, without the weights in the "arms" the thing is very light compared to the Dualshock.

I have been lusting over this 37'' Magnavox LCD that we sell at Target for $999 since we got it in late in 2006.  I for some reason assumed it was running 1080p given the very nice HD picture.  I found some info on a website that is confusing:

  Broadcast Format Displayed:720p (HDTV) | 480p (EDTV) | 480i (SDTV)
Broadcast Format Supported:1080i (HDTV) | 720p (HDTV) | 480p (EDTV) | 480i (SDTV)

Now does this mean the PS3 will be able to run 1080i?  Or will it be stuck on 720p.  I know, most games dont even SUPPORT 1080i or p right now, but I dont want to get a TV that cant do 1080p :)

You people are killing me, just killing me!!!  Now I have to spend more money ;)  I just got a PS3 on 04/17/07 ( A day that will go down in history) and even though it looks fine on my craptastic RCA 19 inch TV (no inputs, using a RF modulator 0-o) I find my self wanting to see HD.  From what I hear it wont hook up to my current CRT, even if I had the cords or adaptors, since my current CRT does not support something.  Something to do with digital security.

I got this CRT back in 2003, so its quiet old.  Pretty sure it does not meet the reqs, but I will check.
