Umm... really? You don't know?

How about Game developers? Game producers? Game retailers? Game development investors? Accesory manufacturers?

All achievements is are is numbers trophys are things you can see

Trophys > Achievements

Actually, you are completely wrong. Every achievment also has a individual and distinct graphical representation AND a score. So what if the graphic is trophy shaped or not? Is that really important to you?

The one cool thing is that you get that 3D representation for your Home, assuming it ever comes out. :P

That will probably be a cool feature on the PS3. On the 360, you can already do a side-by-side comparrison of games and achievments with friends over Live, or on the internet. Maybe being able to virtually walk through a trophy room will be cool, but it is not really anymore useful and may even make it harder to determine which game and for what the achievements are for.

For me, achievments aren't for bragging or showing off, though. I like that there are extra challenges built into a game that tyou can strive for and then be told or "rewarded" when you complete them. Kill 3 enemies with one sniper shot? That is a goal to shoot for, so to speak.

Has this been posted here? This correction is dated today.

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/879/879478p1.html

"...Nielsen's data showed that gamers aged 10 to 26 spent 63 percent of their time playing the 360 and 12 percent on the PS3..."

"...For gamers 27 and older, they appeared to spend almost 52 percent of their time playing the PS3 and only 20 percent playing the 360. Nielsen contacted IGN today to tell us the numbers for the older demographic should have been switched, meaning the 360 is getting the most use across all ages."

If you are trying to do a comparison of console graphic abilities, you should include all games. I don't know why the heck you are throwing a PC game into a PS3/360 comparison.

The best and easiest way to compare the two systems would be to observe the 40 or 50 of the best multiplats. Yet you suggested we ignore all of those games - despite many of them being award winning games - and instead look at only one game that is not on the 360.

The most complete comparison would be to observe all of the multiplat AND exclusives and figure out, on average, which has better graphics. I'd have to say the 360 is still ahead, but it is nice to see the PS3 is finally showing that it can do half of what SCE promised it would do from day one.SCE promised when the PS3 came out it would make the 360 look last-gen, yet it is still a little behind in the race. Do a few PS3 games look amazing? Sure. Just like GeoW blew everything out of the water when it came out. But on average.... the 360 still has the lead. Sorry. There are about a hundred reviews on this very website to back up my POV.

Lame dude. People use to compare PC video cards with Quake 3. So this combining all the multiplats is so lame. Just stop. The best looking games offers the best looking visuals, and Uncharted does that. PS3 > 360 in graphics. Don't make me bring out the developers link that are saying the same thing.

Yes... they compared graphics cards with one game, Quake 3, because you could play that game on all of the graphics card. Thank you for making the exact same point I have been making all along.

One game does not equal "This console has the best graphics" when that same console has failed at least 50 times before. Sorry. But congrats on playing a really pretty game. Now that the PS3 has at least a small colleection of decent exclusives, all they need is to include rumble "out of the box" and I will probably pick one up.

Your entire post is faulty because of the assumption that PS3 graphics are superior. If you do a careful review of all multiplats, you will find that the Xbox 360 graphics are superior in around 80% of them - especially the earlier multiplats. With the more recent multiplats, the graphics tend to be EQUAL.

So the answer would be that the PS3 is able to provide equal graphics with an inferior graphics card.

King_of_Sorrow

Earlier mulitplats? You mean the ones that was spent more time on the 360 than the PS3. Yeah, I think you mean those. Anyways, multiplats don't mean a thing if you know 3rd party engines doesn't bring out the best in the system. Uncharted displays the true beauty of the PS3, and you going to multiplats is a way trying to ignore that.

If you are trying to do a console graphics comparison... comparing dozens of games that appear on both systems is a much better method then looking at a single game that appears on only one system. That is so obvious I shouldn't even have to explain it.

So... Crysis shouldn't count for PC?

GrandpaDeath

What does that matter? When it comes to graphics, PS3 is developing better graphics

Are you really asking "what does factual evidence matter?"

If I start off a conversation with "Canada is the best Tropical Island to visit in winter..." pretty much anything I say after that is meaningless.

The PS3 has not yet produced superior graphics and has only recently consistently produced equal graphics. Maybe in the future it will produce better graphics - but it hasn't. On the contrary, over the 13 month PS3 lifespan it has produced inferior graphics, on average.

The new trailer looks down graded thanks to the 360.. this is not me... Rock Star been saying it too back then but in kind words.

BIG FAT LINK

aka_aj03

Are you crazy?

PS3 and 360 multiplats come out in one of two ways: They are the same, or the 360 version is better. The only exception I can think of is Oblivion - but Oblivion had an EXTRA YEAR in development.

If anything the PS3 and its difficult development has been holding 360 games back - including the delay of GTA IV - which was held back due to the PS3.
