Let's see, humans vs a barbaric race.

Some badass portal opens up and rains fire down on them all.

Warcraft III, anyone?

EA, I'm tired of your disingenuous nasturtiums.

So, MS puts a license fee on an Xbox title and the publisher/retailer puts their own margins on the price - all fair business practices.

But giving them all money from 2nd hand titles? Given that costs to the publisher/MS will be covered by the initial purchase, that's a lot of extra profit for them.

Yup, I'll stick to the PC, thanks.

And so in 12 months times the PC juggernaut will slap aside the dated architecture of the new consoles...and presumably continue to do so for the best part of 10 years (i.e. When the Xbox 2 arrives).

The fact that EA have to frame it in terms of the PC shows just how much the platform has been taking control (at least on a technical basis) in recent years.

Cannon Fodder, happy days. I remember obsessively trying to keep Jools alive to rank him up...I did manage to get him to a 4 star general after many reloads and retries.

Great game. I have many fond memories of building well equipped staff rooms and research centres.

Oh, and not realising what the auto-autopsy actually did until after I'd sent a few patients to it...

I've played the series in completely the wrong order as I got SR3 cheap in a Steam sale and worked from there. I liked the over the top nature of the series, but I am wary of what I've seen of SR4 so far.

It could either be a complete blast or jump the shark and be utterly dire.

@Deadly_Nemesis My thoughts exactly. Flying superheroes? SR3 was bonkers, but kept it grounded for the most part. Now they seem to be taking the approach of "Let's go completely nuts!" ...which misses the point of SR3.

I'd like to be wrong on this one. But the way decent and even semi-decent series are getting trashed this year, I'm not holding my breath.

But why, for example, would you put a sewerage work in the centre of your city (which follows the same pathfinding)? The pathfinding punishes you for designing a city "properly" since you get sewers backed up very easily if you place such utilities on the edges of the map.

At around 4pm the connection was inconsistent and dropping out on "Available" servers. Once that happened mid tutorial when it asked me to look for supplies from another city, I decided to leave it and wait until EA get their act together.

World-wide screw-up ahoy!
