It will only make sense if the Warden comes back, I don't know about your Wardens, but mine would not be idly standing by in his/her keep from DA: Awakenings, while all this sh$% is going down....especially with all the dlc weapons they have just sitting around and collecting dust, haha.
Would be nice if you could import your saves and maybe have you be the Hero from DAO again. Though Bioware seems to prefer a different protagonist each game, so I expect we'll have to make someone new.
Hope its nothing like dragon age 2. All i would like is a more polished version of DAO, with a new story and elements
I can already see it... The different endings to the game...
All nations unite against the Darkspawn threat. A great battle ensues, with these completely different outcomes:
1. Your Inquisitor uses powerful magic or an artefact to destroy all Darkspawn forever. A red magic blast spreads across the world. Everyone rejoices.
2. Your Inqusitor uses powerful magic or an artefact to control all Darkspawn in the world, making them slaves to the humanoid races. A blue magic blast spreads across the world.
3. Your Inquisitor uses powerful magic or an artefact to make a symbiosis of all humanoid races and the Darkspawn, creating a perfect race with green glowing eyes. A green magic blast spreads across the world.
Of course, in the Destruction ending, it can happen that you destroy all living beings along with the Darkspawn, leaving the world desolate and void of life, but that only happens if you don't have enough Battle Readiness, which is acquired if you play Multiplayer and buy the day-one DLC.
The Warden and Hawke appear in one scene, and they have no impact on the story at all, nor do your choices in the previous games.
After the ending, the camera switches to an elderly person reading a bed-time story to his grandson in year 2148. He says something that's supposed to sound mysterious and deep, and his grandson goes to sleep. The grandpa then sits in front of the TV and watches as Humanity discovers an alien artefact on Mars which allows for intergalactical Faster-Than-Light travel, and they call it a Mass Relay.
eh , why none of the characters look like thier past ? I mean Morigan looks like shit in this . and I'd personally prefer a summer 2015 release date so they could work more on it . no one wants DA2 fiasco all over again ...
We all love Morrigan. Dragon Age has more compelling fiction and back story than The Elder Scrolls series, in my opinion, but I prefer the open world approach of The Elder Scrolls games over the linear, story-driven game play of Dragon Age.
I do not care for Cassandra Pentaghast ( short haired brunette) very much. At all even.I didnt care for her in DA2 and I dont like that she is getting this much screen time in the first trailer for this game. I dont like her.what I do like is Morrigan returning and the figure in the sands who I hope to the Maker is my precious warden and not that asshole Hawke. other than that the trailer doesnt really tell us much.looks very dark and ominous but no real context. Can't wait to see more! DONT SCREW THIS UP BIOWARE!
Cool Morrigan looks like she is back. DA2 biggest downfall was how they tried to tell the story, there was only 1 real outcome in that game and gave the illusion of choice. The first one the choices mattered a little more on how difficult the end would be, if your character lived or died, who was going to lead after the fact. Not to mention each of the background stories were fun to play and each character was treated differently depending on the background story.
Yeah have to admit DA sucke me in big time, absolutely loved the first two. Looking forward to this.
I do love the Dragon Age Series (even with DA2 being a let down) and I hope that DA3 picks up after the events of the novel DA: Asunder. I would also like a new lead hero. If Hawke was to return I would like them to be a companion.
Let's see, humans vs a barbaric race.
Some badass portal opens up and rains fire down on them all.
Warcraft III, anyone?
FALL 2014!!!! LOL if i was on the fence about this game cause of DA2 i have deff lost all interest now. by then it would be 4 years in development it would have to really impress for me to change my mind.
@Yortmen That's why I'm not preordering or buying this game at release. I'll wait for the critic and user reviews before I even think of buying it. They burned me on DA2 and ME3, so fool me once shame on them, fool me twice shame on me...
NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!
@jovanroland laughed my ass off sir
@Void_Kross I figured that was the dragon too.
@Void_Kross isn't the dragon demon his kid?
@Netherlick you may have forgotten but according to Dragon Age 2 chronologic events 10 years have already passed since The Warden destroyed the Archdemon Urthemiel...
And well... age is a bitch
@Netherlick Fair lady might be the wrong... word ;).
@Shielder7 compared to what?
@Shielder7 I think it looks good. Maybe your standart are just to high if you find the newest graphic engine around bad lol
@joeyado Who says they were ever different entities?
@joeyado depends, which voice actor is cheaper?
@Targzissian If all games was same style , it would be shit then lol. I like both the style of each game serie. However i did prefer the more slower paste fighting style in DAO and Nwn and such.
What kinda sickens me, is all new games tend to be fast and easy to move on ...lets not waste any time style! Iam not playing pc games to save time. Iam actauly doing it to waste time and "live in another world" i want em long and slow so i can use a few days on it :)
@Gil_Rhaen Hey there. Well just because you and others dont like Cassandra, doesn mean rest of us doesn either hehe. I actualy like her character and story.
I suggest you watch the dragon age animation movie called "Dawn of the Seeker" it will give you insight to why she act as she does. Maybe even you will like her after that :)
@ChrisX2012 That's Varric from Dragon Age II.
@LordRork I was half expecting the green rip in the sky to turn into an XBOX ONE logo, but I guess Im just still having post traumatic stress from the launch crap. Even the bowels of hell wouldnt do anything that horrible, thats why they left it to Microsoft.
@SipahSalar For the same reason films and other games display pivotal events in the main characters life: it's more exciting than everyday stuff, like laundry.
So you hated DA2 a game that was rushed, and now you hate this because they are taking their time?
