Wii - slightly harsh, but slightly valid. You've also got the value for money, the unique controls and the console comes at gaming from a different angle then the norm. Some people reguard the change of direction as "casual" some see it for what it is...fun.

360 - 16% failure rate, but a three year warranty and generally a fast turn around on repairs. Overall probably the greatest gaming console on the market. Strong game library supported by a great online interface that is ideal for the home console market. It is now (I think) the cheapest console/best value for money on the market as well?

PS3 - The most expensive console on the market could also be viewed as the best value for money depending on point of view. A slow start, a bad start, but now the console has a solid enough gaming libruary and benefits from a free online service.

Threadstarter had some good points but the quoted is definitely 100% on point though. I can see how the 360 got a C+ from threadstarter the failure rate probably dropped it a full grade otherwise it could have gotten a B. My 360 failed on me twice, my PS3 is in running condition since day 1, I had a Wii and sold it to a co-worker for $150 I thought it was weak IMO I enjoyed the Gamecube much more even though I was one of the few people who had it.

Homeboy already said he's keeping his PS3. An unbiased real opinion for anybody out there thinking of getting rid of their playstation triple for a 360, DONT. The value of a PS3 is higher than a 360 especially if you got the PS3 during it's $500-600 days, you might want to hold onto it due to the momentum it's gaining plus all those games coming out, your just better off throwing the $200 down for a 360 IMO.

It is next to near impossible to guess how the market will be in 5 years. In 5 years blu-ray will either have taken off considerably or it will eat itself from the inside. If people invested in Blu-ray DVD's then they won't switch their format until at least 5 years later because they may have already started building a sizable library of blu-rays, most of the people I know are like that including myself the only reason I even have blu-rays is because my PS3 plays it if not I wouldn't have it. And unless you can download a full HD movie within 40 minutes or so that Digital Distribution WILL NOT replace Blu-ray. If you want to watch a movie you would want to be able to walk or drive to your local video store and buy or rent the movie ASAP most people are not as patient as what is being implied on this board which is where the casualness of all this comes into play. To compare video to music downloads is completely different matter and a very assinine statement, I can go to Zune Marketplace and download a full MP3 album in 45 seconds, will you be able to do that with movies let alone HD movies? I wouldn't speculate Digital Distribution having an impact for another 10-15 years, when they create lightening connection or something like that.

Ken Shamrock is not a wrestler he was in the WWF for a short stint but he's been a Mixed Martial Arts fighter his whole career. If Kimbo can't beat an over-the-hill Shamrock then maybe he needs to reconsider his career options. But Ken Shamrock in his prime>>>>>>Kibo Slice fa sho.

I estimate a 99% probability of GEOW 2 outselling Metal Gear by far. 360 is more of a system for online junkies, and Gears is THE game to get for that system.

The Wii is the Lil Wayne of gaming. It makes my eyes bleed, and aside from a few games just not really feelin it much. Besides I have a Sony HD TV all my electronics are Sony so I like to keep things Aesthitic (even though I do have a 360 as well).

^^^I still remember Sega Saturn dominating Japan in sales and still losing the overall war against N64 and PS1, and think a decent balance of all regions is necessary to win like what the Wii is doing. I know the PS3 is going to come in second, ain't nobody competing with the Wii's prices and they are mad cheap and thrifty over in Japan, so when Sony slashes the price a little bit more on the PS3 it's game over for the Xbox360 over in Japan.
