What Is Your All Time Fav RPG?

hey guys/girls.

i wanted to know which rog you enjoyed the most whether it is wrpg/jrpg/srpg etc etc

mine has to be...drumroll....

chrono trigger! it was the first rpg game i ever played and ever since i been hooked onto rpgs!

ye you might think wtf! u neva played ff1,2,3 etc etc lol and answer is no! the first ff game i played was ff7!

yeah Chrono Trigger was amazing... FF7 is also one of my all time favs... but i got to say that PS2 had so many great rpgs its hard to choose...

I think for me it was Chrono Cross.

Yeah, how did you miss it?

Chrono even shows up and everything. It was amazing, but like Star Ocean, and Final Fantasy, you aren't the same character.

Doesn't mean it was fantastic.

Planescape: Torment, even though I only got around to playing it a year ago. Better late then never!

That doesn't qualify for an RPG. If it did, I would have chosen OoT! The Zelda franchise is a action/adventure hybrid.

Yeah, those were surprisingly good. I can't wait for NOMURA to announce the inevitable true sequel for PS3. Then we can all enjoy that, like we did KH and KH2.

I wonder why they don't announce something, I guess it's because Nomura is so busy with FFvsXIII.

Far and away - The Temple of Elemental Evil -

It was a horribly buggy flop on release, but with a few years of modding, its an amazingly deep interpretation of D&D 3.5 rules, with great npc interaction and the very best turn based combat system ive ever played.

For me it does everything that fallout fans rave about, but does it better.

I read your post.

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of lurkers around here. In fact, lurking is what I usually do in SW.

KIngdom Hearts 2 is my favorite so far and Final Fnatasy 12 because I loved the battle system.

Also steambot chronicles gets a mention.

FF7 was boring and I will chrono trigger on the ds this year.

Hmm...I'd have to say...KOTOR.

And Morrowind.

Mine is a close tie between Baldur's Gate 2 and Wizardry 7.

Though I think soon, Mass Effect 2 will unseat Kotor and become my #1 RPG. :D

Planespace Torment is still my favourite. Sadly, nothing in the last decade has topped it. :(Planeforger

I think Baldur's Gate 2 was a better RPG overall, but Planescape had a better story and a more interesting cast.

So, my vote goes to BG2.

Kingdom Hearts.

I realise it's not the best game ever or anything, but it's that game that got me into gaming.

So yes, I've been blinded by nostalgia.
