Cheers mate.
Congratulations. What course is it?
Reading this post made me check the of list courses I am going in to, then I realized that it was empty for some reason. Thankfully the people behind the university admissions decided to give everyone one extra day due to technical issues pm tje site (which can explain why the subject I put there was suddenly removed). So I re-added it. So thanks a million, you saved me a lot of trouble :)

Oh, that was lucky! Glad you sorted it out. I had some technical issues with my application, took a few more weeks to get it submitted >.>
It's an English Literature MA; I am either going into academia or journalism (preferably sports journalism) I think, so it makes sense for me.
One of my other applications which I am waiting to hear back from is a Viking and Anglo Saxon studies MA; sounds vague but it's a a literature course rather than general 'studies'. You get to study really old texts like Beowulf, study Viking mythology, learn to translate runes and there's a module on how these older texts influenced writers like Tolkien. It sounds quite interesting I think.
Which courses are the ones you're applying for?
Sports journalism makes sense, it seems to fit your tastes and interests real well.
I will study software engineering, I only need to apply to one school due to my grades being sufficient enough to be guaranteed a spot. I am on a base year this year and so yeah, the school has faith in that I will do well next year too, if not better.
The subject I will study will be a masters program, in game and software engineering.
That's cool, particularly because you get the place you want. Are there any companies you can ask for work experience with, or try and get some connections with? I only realised last year that Crytek UK was on my doorstep; they bought Free Radical a while back.
Awesome, good luck with it. What are your employment plans, take what you can get, or want to work for a particular company?
Pretty much anything can do, there are tonnes of job oppurtunities both in the games industry and outside for those who take this major. Students tend to get jobs before they even graduate so I am not too worried about unemployment. Either way, I will work for 5 years or so and then I will hopefully start my own company. One dedicated towards creating strategy games.
That's awesome, I wish you well. And hope to be investing in one of your strategy games in the future! ;)
