So in 4 years it will still high end hardware? It would be a budget machine that suffers from aging components by that time. With a PC you just swap out parts and plug in updated parts at will. This keeps everything up to date.
The 360 and PS3 had been massively subsidized when they first came out, each sale cost Microsoft and Sony $400 to compensate for the difference between the cost of production and the price-tag the people bought it for. They estimated, correctly, that licensing fees would ultimately makeup their lost money and then some.
Let's just hope it isn't anything like DA2- what an abomination that was. It was such an insult to the fans. If DA3 doesn't deliver like DAO did, then I'm not giving Bioware an auto-buy on everything.
