I moved on years ago. I never had an N64, but a friend had, and i played all the good titles on that, that everyone had.

Other than those select few games, Nintendo 64 really did nothing for me. I found the PS1 library vastly superior. It was literally 10 times bigger aswell.

Definetly The Last of Us, even tho it reminded me alot of Uncharted, without puzzles and added stealth mechanics.

Will get a PS4 abit after teh launch hype has died down. Even tho my main gaming platform today is the PC, i always get a PlayStation to play specific exclusive titles, like anything by Naughty Dog, future GTA titles, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Tekken etc. I grew up with many of these titles, so they have a special place in my heart.

CoD - Went from a respected and loved world war 2 shooter series, to a laughed at and joked about mess of repeated copy/paste, yearly, still using the Quake 3 engine from 2002, yet still managed to completely **** up the netcode somehow.

Depends how you look at it. Some people like a car that is fast, just costs alot more money. This line will be blurry when the next gen consoles come out tho. After a year or 2 they will be left in the dust as usual, but thats unavoidable with static hardware.

Thats how its always been, since 3D games really became the norm in the mid 90s, starting with the PlayStation. The problem with PC gaming these days, is that you can't even take advantage of your high end rig, except in very few games, such as modded crysis, which is god knows how old by now. All it usually means is having a higher framerate. Games dont really look that much better, even tho the system might be actually 10x as powerful. Shame really, such wasted potential.

As long as developers don't develop games with high end rigs in mind ( And why should they, no $$$ in that ), all that high end hardware is actually wasted.

Im a PC gamer by heart, and i must say i enjoyed this game very much. On Hard difficulty, the stealth play reminded me of the first and second Splinter Cell games, which is a good thing. The graphics, exept for the low resolution (lots of jaggies), were really lovely. Probably outdoes games like Metro, when it comes to the sheer ammount of details and setpieces.

Still better than KEYBOARD.

Mr_BillGates

In an fps thanks to the might keyboard i can run, jump, look/aim and reload at the same time. You can't do that on a controller since one thumb is all that can access look, jump and reload actions.

Except that I use both mouse and analog stick. I have superior movement controls as well as aiming. I can also play fighting, racing and 3rd person games better than crappy keyboard.

Are you playing with a controller and a mouse at the same time?

I nearly spat out my coffee reading, that the GPUs in PS3 and Xbox were more powerful at launch, than high end PC cards. When do people realize that the stuff inside the consoles is basically made by the exact same people that make regular computer hardware. It does not make sense from a business standpoint.

I have never visisted a forum, with so much wrong information, as on GameSpot, and specifically systemwars. I mean where do people come up with this shit?

Are people dilusional? It's like claiming your stock Honda Civic beats a Ferrari at the lights. No, saying it enough times does not make it true.

Wickerman777

It's what the graph says and what an article said where I saw the graph. I don't friggin remember what PC GPUs were like 8 years ago, lol. If the info is inaccurate take it up with them. And if something so slight and meaningless as that caused you to "nearly spit out your coffee" then LMMAO.

The consoles had some really good looking games when it came out, such as Gears of War. Also when compared to the PC games available at the time. That does not by any stretch mean that the hardware is better, or ahead of it's time. It simply means a talented developer choose the Xbox, and not the PC.

.. And about the coffee, this is systemwars :p
