Say what you want about the score, but even the video review had me laughing out loud. Plus you have to score it on this sort of genre, it wouldn't be fair to say well the graphics aren't as good as *insert AAA game here* for example.
I still play DoW 2 a lot. I love it. I tried to go back to Dark Crusade but couldn't get into it at all, maybe it just felt too dated but I missed things like suppression, counter tactics and it not just be a tech rush to the Relic unit. I am talking about Retribution, I still think Dark Crusade is better than vanilla DoW2 in terms of more races and far more unit variation.
That being said, larger groups of units would be cool, and to have more cusomisation wouldn't go a miss either!
Either way I am excited, Relic have proved they are more than capable of delivering.
@doraemon1987 Opposite way round for me, DoW:1 was about huge scale but lacked certain elements that made it feel impactful, whereas 2 felt deliberate and every choice had a consequence in terms of purchasing and tactics. Felt far more true to TT!
@badwedgie00 Batman vs Iron Man would be a better example I think - but other than that hell yeah! Hawkeye vs Green Arrow would be cool too and if it is as well written as Injustice we would be in for a treat story wise. I just hope it is not like MvC, I like that game but personally the art style and overall feel is better with I:GAU in that attacks feel deliberate and heavy.
@Seifer24 It is actually very slow and calculated when compared to the likes of Street Fighter and MvC. I personally prefer it as a well placed combo doesn't have to be all and end all but also doesn't seem cheap. Even when playing multiplayer.
The only thing that plagues MP is the people that spam and they are few and far between!
