Here is hoping that their jump from generation to generation will repeat history and offer us a CoD that was as ground breaking as 4 was on the current gen.
I have to admit I can't play CoD after playing BF due to the fact that javelins, grenades etc can't kill that camper hiding in a building. I also like Halo's physics in that although the environments can't be destroyed, the debre from explosions can be lethal which is a cool inclusion.
@Strider8009 No, it is completely different. CoD may not be perfect but from a review standpoint it is technically sound e.g. good frame rate, screen shots and trailer footage appears in the game and doesn't have brain dead AI that are supposed to represent intelligent, formidable, alien hunters
@DARKKNIGHTPRABZ They also had "screenshots" in all the gaming magazines and all preorder pages on the websites. Even after the game came out, these shots were not updated for the WiiU, showing a blatant disregard for the consumer.
They showed off screenshots to sell the game too, that were not only mis representative of the final product, but also on ALL the websites that were selling the game as "screenshots".
If the vertical slice of "gameplay" is not enough to get them, hopefully that will!
Gears is about human's struggle to survive genocide on an alien world whilst also having to uncover the truth of why the locust emerged and why. Sure the games are just about bulky men but hopefully a film adaptation will improve character building and seeing the world of Sera on the big screen, alongside the mess humans made trying to prevent the horde from reaching their homes will be incredible, if done right.
Halo is amazing, no two ways about it, I just find the characters in Gears to be far more relatable and the stories to not be similar at all.
