30, 60, 4K, CPU, GPU, PRO, Scorpio...who the eff cares!

Let's just see if the game is fun. If it is, then play it and enjoy life and stop getting wrapped up in all this petty garbage.

P.S. Thank you, Bungie, for creating a really cool gaming world for us to swashbuckle around in!

That's way too harsh. What you're not reading is time, money, and the prioritization of features as they relate to those factors and the overall gaming experience for the players.

Destiny 2 will be epic whether it's played at 30FPS on a console or 100 FPS on a beastly PC! I can't wait to play it!

@bbq_R0ADK1LL:

Your comments really just boil down to you not understanding console gaming in general or having a strong understated preference for PC Gaming.

From my perspective, and millions of other people, consoles are a convenient, affordable, and fun way to play video games.

I have zero issues with console hardware power, even as we move fairly deep into this gen's lifecycle. Destiny 2 looks amazing to me and the 30FPS is not an issue.

As for controller vs mouse/keyboard within FPS genre. Sure, mouse/keyboard is better in terms of precision and options. Hands down. But I've never once felt any disconnect or less joy from experiencing FPS's with a controller and a game that handles as buttery smooth as Destiny. It's just a non-issue when it comes to having some luxury fun; which is what gaming is.

There are certain factual advantages to things like higher frame rates and precision mouse/keyboard controls. I'm not trying to dismiss those. I'm just making a case that for millions of people console gaming is plenty awesome enough to enjoy the crap out of. I can't wait for D2 on PS4 (non-pro) because it's going to be a blast...controller and 30FPS and all!

Thank you, Bungie! You made a great design choice. I would much rather have better gameplay at 30FPS, then hit 60FPS and have a less vast an interactive world. Bring on the monsters, Bungie! I can't wait for D2 release!

Show us Smash Bros., show us Mario, show us Metroid Prime 4 with an amazing online mode, and have one NEW AAA third party game that people really care about such as Destiny 2. OH. And if you're never going to make a new Wave Race, then make the next Mario Kart on water...Sea Turtle shells, squids, mines, submarine specials, flying fish attacks, whirlpools, dolphin ride turbo's, giant sea creatures roaming, pirates firing cannon balls at you, shark attacks for going out of bounds...or better yet...Sharknadoes!...It's time to take that franchise off the asphalt!

XBOX One 'X' strikes me as the most emotionally and strategically neutral console ever released. It's cool that exists, but it seems to me it is a warning sign that the console gaming market is struggling. Exploiting the obvious advantages of cutting edge tech is not a cost effective way to create incredible games and sustain the market. Look at what Nintendo achieved with Switch so far, look at what third parties were achieving on PS3 and XBOX 360. Developers are fooling themselves when they think new technology is their ticket to creative freedom and they have spread that misconception to gamers; hence Scorpio or 'X'. XBOX ONE was already PLENTY awesome enough!

I just got back from my Nintendo Switch honeymoon to realize that I've married a Wii U! Holy crap! Nintendo is once again going to have a console who's best third party surprises are old remakes.

How is this a surprise?? They've been selling the empty promise of third party support for over a decade!

I love my Switch, but no getting around that this is an EPIC FAIL on Nintendo's part. The fact that Nintendo couldn't court a top notch third party developer like Bungie to bring a multi-million unit selling franchise to their brand new systems is devastating in terms of what it says about the future of third party support on the Nintendo Switch!

WiiU 2 here we go! Nintendo is once again going to be the near sole provider of AAA games on its platform. So sad. Not one lesson learned by Nintendo in the past decade plus of this nonsense.

Yes. This is sadly true. That bit of news was posted after I wrote that comment. Bungie has turned the Switch off on that idea, so to speak. But hey, there is Splatoon 2 coming for that competitive shooter fix! I just really wanted Destiny 2 on the Switch...I love Bungie and think they have made some incredible games!
