Trying to finish Rise of the Tomb Raider. Might try out State of Decay 2 after that.

I haven't seen anything on Death Standing or Ghost of Tsushima or TLoU2 to judge what they'd be like.

Spiderman could be hit or miss depending on how repetitive the gameplay gets.

It's interesting seeing all the people bitching about the model when from a consumer perspective if you haven't played a lot of the games on there, it's a bloody good deal.

There are a few games on there that I'd be interested in playing but for there are still plenty of games on the service that I'd rather play.

@soulitane: FH3 is part of a derivative franchise released yearly. Driving games like it can’t compete with narrative driven AAA blockbuster exclusives. You’re in complete denial and delusional if you think FH3 can compare with a new fresh IP like HZD. Sales, awards, and the general consensus out there agrees with me, you’re just a butthurt fanboy trying to act like your opinion holds any weight when it doesn’t. Racing games like FH3 are extremely niche and have limited appeal.

? OP is asking when MS is gonna get a AAA blockbuster exclusive like HZD or BOTW and you delusional lems keep pulling up FH3 and making fools of yourselves.

It's amazing how you can type so much and say literally nothing. You haven't even brought forth an argument why FH3 is bad and why Horizon is great within their respective genres.

I never gave my opinion on the games, so why you'd even attempt to bring up this hypothetical opinion that I apparently have is beyond me.

Never said FH3 was bad, it's a great game but it's niche and doesn't belong in the conversation when talking about AAA blockbuster exclusives like HZD and BOTW.

That's all I'm saying. OP is asking when Xbone is gonna get its own highly acclaimed AAA blockbuster title and people mentioning FH3 are looking like clowns.

Not a great argument but at least you're not trying to use scores or sales.

? Nah, you clown, that's not how it works.

Horizon has more review scores on MC than FH3 therefore it's average has more of a chance to go down. You also don't compare MC scores directly of games that aren't even close to being in the same genre like that. You look at GOTY awards, hype, and sales to see how both games fared. Horizon completely destroys FH3 in that department same with BOTW. Other than lemmings and Xbox zealots no one in the real world mentions FH3. ? None of MS' mediocre first party offerings this gen belong in the same sentence as a game like Horizon.

Why not just think for yourself? You're literally trying to argue your opinion using the opinions of others. You're trying to make out that comparing games quality is an art when the reality is that there is no true way to empirically compare the quality of two games that are vastly different, other than *gasp* giving your own opinion on the matter.

Why on earth would you want this? Games as a service blows

Also, Netflix makes almost none of its content, nor will that be MS or Sony's bread and butter for this (Not sure why you seem unaware Sony is unfortunately aggressively building the same type of infrastructure, btw). MS would never, in a million years, buy and buy and buy developers in order to own every part of their service system. If they did, they'd charge you 100/month in order to make a proper profit. The reason that MS and Sony and Netflix can get away with 10-15 a month is that they are getting paid for the service of providing content that costs them less than that to provide. Constantly buying new studios and giving away 60+ dollar games for that price is an unsustainable business model. On the other hand, giving away a small and/or rotating selection of one's property mixed in with a ton of OTHER peoples' games for that price can turn a decent profit

To an extent I agree with you to an extent I disagree.

Netflix spends hundreds of millions making their original content and I'd argue they make a hell of a lot more than next to none of the stuff that appears on the service.

Obviously no one would buy all the developers that make games for their service but under the hypothetical that Microsoft is going the Netflix route then they'd need a steady stream of content to supplement other company's content to entice people to buy their product. That is much in the same vein as Netflix does with it's content.

I agree that 10-15 a month probably won't create a profit but if done right they probably can get a profit out of a system like this.

More billions then. Valve is going to go under in a few years. They don't make any new games. There is never going to be a HL3, TF3, or L43.

Care to elaborate how the people who own the biggest store front for PC are going to go under in the near future?

That's because they ain't going under and never will. Valve got rich due to Steam and it's why Valve hasn't bother making games anymore. Steam is making them rich to never go bankrupt and making them future proof.

I'm well aware they won't go under. I'm just interested to see what reasoning he'd bring up to back the claim up with. He didn't disappoint =p

There is a Videogame crash looming. The windows store is going to get better. It took years for Valve to get better and it's only been two years since the windows store came out. GOG is another competitor to take more market share from Valve.

Do you have anything that can actually be backed up with proof?
