It was like that for years, if I remember correctly, with information coming and going.

Well they have a way to do it so why assume they wouldn't do it?

I was referring more to the part that if BC were to be available for PS4 today it would be crap which is not true since they already make enhancements for old games so BC games could be also enhanced the same way.

@Ghost120x: Its not just forums, I'm talking youtube, twitter, facebook every social media on the planet. Mainstream gamers are DEFINITELY aware of industry wide unethical practice, there is just no way they aren't, the only people that cross my mind that don't know about it are those who are not that invested in gaming at all, and those individuals can't possibly be driving revenues. I'm positive that there are gamers in these forums that support developers like EA and Activision, I just really want to understand why they give those developers and publishers their hard earned cash.

I don't think someone would lie about it either, but the way I see it, if he's going to come out and make such allegations he better have his guns loaded, because if he can't prove it, the repercussions are going to be dire and across the board for his professional career. That he feels more emboldened now doesn't help him in a court of law where only evidence is going to be considered, and perhaps if this individual were part of a group that were all targeting the same person I might feel otherwise, but from what I see this guy's just coming out because it's been a topic in the news and he needed to get it off his chest.

While I greatly feel for him if he is indeed a victim, if he's not intending to pursue legal action with this revelation I have to question his judgement. If he didn't do it after it happened, there is little sense to me for him to be doing it now. This is a serious accusation against one of the biggest and most respected developers in gaming, that's not peanuts, and if getting it off his chest wasn't possible in therapy so he felt the need to do it in this manner, I only wish him the best in court (if he goes that route) and hope he realizes the potential shit-storm he's brewing up.
