@Renunciation: Agreed. I don't think the "Switch has no games!" complaint is a fair one seeing that it's only been out for about six months. Within its first year, it will have Arms, Splatoon 2, Mario + Rabbids, Mario Odyssey, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Five exclusives in the first year is not too shabby. Hell, the PS4 didn't get its first must-have title (Bloodborne) until over a year after launch and look at it now.

@d_: Yeah, I'd be totally fine with the Classics shortages if we also had the option of purchasing the games on the eshop (hell, I'd even take a Switch cartridge with all the SNES Classic games on it for the same price), but we don't. This is the kind of **** that drives people to emulation and Retropies.

If they release a Switch VC with NES, SNES, 64, GameCube, and Wii titles, my Switch would never leave my hands and my friends would probably report me missing lol

@Iordanis1278: I think a lot third-party developers decided to wait and see how successful the Switch would be before committing. Seeing how well it's doing, I would not be surprised if we start seeing a lot of ports (at least for games the Switch can handle) and third-party support starting next year. I sincerely hope they don't pull a Capcom though.

I love my Switch and for me, the only glaring issue is the lack of the Virtual Console. I was rather surprised when it did not launch with it, and we still have not heard anything about it nearly six months after launch. Nintendo's backlog of titles is so strong--especially the SNES and N64 games--that the VC would be more than enough to hold me over during the dry spells between major titles. Like the author of this article suggested, I also suspect Nintendo postponed or even cancelled it to sell more SNES and eventually N64 Classics, which is funny because the vast majority of us will not be able to get one without paying a scalper $200+ (please, please don't do that).

FINALLY! I have been put off and barely played this game over the last few months due to the frequency of players coming into QP and even Competitive that refuse to coordinate or group up, run around trying to 1v6 the enemy, abuse their healers, and completely ignore the objective. Maybe this new Deathmatch mode will distract those types of players and QP and Comp will actually be playable again. Doubtful, but here's hoping.

@Wiro_: Of course it's my opinion; there is no need for me to preface my comments with the obvious. Yes, BF1 has a good campaign, though, and I never said it didn't ("most" is not synonymous with "all"), and Battlefront II is looking like it will be a big improvement on the lackluster first one. Here's hoping.

@pcps4xb: Not sure if it has an actual story, but the reviews I've read seem to indicate that it is somewhat robust and each level introduces new mechanics and platforming and some epic boss battles. Pretty impressive considering that the single player/campaign modes in most multiplayer focused games are terrible and complete throwaways.

Never played the first one (did not own a Wii U) and honestly wasn't all that excited for this, but the testfire on Saturday completely sold me. It's the most addictive online multiplayer game I have played in years. And by all accounts the single player mode is actually really good? Even better. I just wish the Salmon Run co-op was not constrained and limited to certain times online as that will probably be my mode of choice.

@stelios: Agreed. Persona 5, NieR, Nioh, and Horizon are all great and could have been GOTY in other years, but so far, Breath of the Wild has it in the bag. Mario Odyssey may be able to give it a run for its money, but it will have to be Galaxy/Galaxy 2 quality (or better) to even come close.

I have a PS4 but probably won't be getting this unless it comes to the Switch. I have grown so accustomed to playing and preferring MH games on the go that I don't know if I could go back to only being able to play them at home. Even with the downgraded graphics and power the 3DS MH games have been my favorites of the series.
