I'll probably wait for third party plates because if I got one and tried to paint it myself it wouldn't turn out great. I probably won't be able to wait for the slim as there are 1st party games coming this year that I want to play.
Sony seems to be focusing more on the western audience now. Also I think the size of the system is a barrier in Japan where smaller consoles and handhelds sell better.
More launch buzz. They can sell people on the well reviewed exclusive Spider-Man and Demon's Souls games. Xbox has a much harder job of selling people on gamepass. It's a great service, but it's not like you can put it under a tree. If Halo had made launch and been good then demand for both would probably be about the same.
you’re doing it wrong. If you have any sort of 5.1, 7.1 or Atmos setup and are streaming your content, you’re doing it wrong. There are many examples of 1080p Blu-ray out performing 4K streaming. The low bitrates and compression are absolute killers. If you have a nice 4K tv, especially an OLED and are streaming your content, you aren’t getting the most out of your TV.
Exactly. Apple TV has the highest quality 4K streaming, and even that is well behind the quality of a 4K disc on a decent player. Vudu, Netflix, Hulu, Google Play and Disney+ 4K streams are all garbage compared to a disc. Nothing but banding and black crush.
Favorite is Streets of Rage 4 and Animal Crossing. Least favorite is probably Star Wars Episode 1 Racer. I love the game but the effort was so minimal on the port. No redone textures or cutscenes. No online multiplayer.
Mario Kart 8, Tropical Freeze, Xenoblade Chronicles, Bayo 2 from past Nintendo systems. Witcher 3, Skyrim, Bioshock Collection, and Alien Isolation. Also a few indies like Inside, Hollow Knight, and Shovel Knight. A couple game collections.
