Convenient that the review leaves out the fact that the game has an in game cash shop. Since when did it become acceptable to charge full price for a game and then tack on micro transactions?

@LightEffect @pupp3t_mast3r See while I haven't tried the next gen games yet but I've played both the Dead Rising and Killzone franchises and I know for a fact while Dead Rising can be fun (for about 2-3 hours) it's incredibly repetitive and a story that doesn't get much blander, whereas Killzone always nailed the shooting aspect of the gameplay even if story and pacing were always short of the mark.

Which is why I find it a bit hard to believe that Dead Rising a franchise that always fell into the category of gimmicky fun is being placed up to par with Killzone.

Ok so Killzone Shadowfall which Kevin reviewed gave it a 7.0 with the only negatives to the game being it seemed oversimplified. And here we've got a review for a game that's apparently buggy, has a bland setting and repetitive missions and it gets the exact same score??? Anyone else thinking WTF?

It's a great game at a reasonable price and if additional content in DLC form or otherwise keeps the game alive; all the better for players. FYI worth mentioning that the first DLC will be free for everyone who pre-ordered the special edition.

Yes there are plenty of games out there that really take advantage of consumers with their DLC but when a game is priced at $30, comes with an amazing amount of content and has great replayability value, paying a bit more for optional content doesn't seem like asking for a lot.

It's not so much that free to play models are inherently bad but its more that so many games that incorporate them do so in a way to bleed their users dry.

Plants vs Zombies 2 sadly sticks to the majority given that every piece of additional content requires either a cash out or a couple of hours of farming (of completely varying difficulty). I played the original for weeks on end and kept coming back for more. I played the sequel for about 3-4 hours and haven't touched it since.

So good work, you've reach a whole lot more people but just alienated your original fan-base, and not to mention this is one gamer who wouldn't be going back to the Plants vs Zombie franchise anytime soon. Hope that put you on top of the highest grossing charts on iTunes and Google Play.
