If I'm reading this right (and I think I am), does that mean we've finally reached an age in gaming where we can just turn off the console, take the game on to the Vita and get on the bus to work and keep playing??
Anyone else think Microsoft is basically giftwrapping the next gen's console battle to Sony?? >.<
@cf_Kage If you download it on to a machine aside from your own I think there will be a surcharge. Also wouldn't it be easier to carry a game over to a friend's place as opposed to downloading the game on to this hard drive waiting for it to install and then commence playing?
So... lets stop people from renting games, lets stop people from lending games and lets make it harder for people to try new franchises. Really? I guess that sums up Microsoft's business ideals as well as anything ever could. All I can say is, that next year it might not be EA getting the Worst Consumerist Award.
Well voiced Kevin and as mentioned nothing we didn't see coming from Microsoft, I suppose my only surprise during this whole reveal was the surcharges they're tacking on for used games.
It's nothing we haven't heard or seen before from Square.... The only thing this company is pioneering in the games industry is making ridiculous statements, from blaming the market for their losses rather than their ludicrous expectations for sales, or a few months ago when they blamed console developers for not releasing a new generation of consoles which was causing damage to their sales.
How about the fact that you don't listen to your fans, keep re-releasing age old classics instead of creating something new, and maintaining ridiculously high sales expectations of near dead franchises in order to justify the expenses you threw behind those games. I've bought both Hitman and Tomb Raider and I can honestly say I wouldn't be buying any sequels, not because the games aren't good but because SquareEnix has managed to perfectly replicate what these games accomplished in their prime, rather than accomplish anything truly innovative and pushing the IP forward. I suppose after what they did to the Final Fantasy franchise no one should really be surprised.
