Lets look at it like this, I absolutely love most of the IP's that Nintendo has exclusivity to. However I don't love any of them enough to choose the Wii U over the next generation of games coming out or even the current generation for that matter. The Wii U should have been released with the PS3 and the X360 all those years ago and then Nintendo would still be in the running next to Sony and Microsoft.
The only people really suffering from Nintendo maintaining Wii U exclusivity on their IP's are the gamers and fans of those franchises. The fact of the matter is the Wii U isn't going to create the financial buzz it needs to in order for Nintendo to stay above water once "next-gen" hits. Also take into account that each Wii U is currently being sold at a loss and big-game developers are avoiding your console like the plague. Avoid another THQ flea market and save your IP's.
Sega is a fine example of how a company stepped away from consoles and now makes some of the greatest games I've ever seen. Case in point the Total War series. And before the haters decide to comment, I owned and loved both the N64 and the Gamecube.
One of the greatest FPS online games I've ever played (even though its only beta) and this is coming from a CoD fan who is absolutely sick of the clones. Goes to show you how hungry the gaming market is for an innovative FPS game.
I confess to not even reading this article because the headline says it all.... Former EA CEO commenting on the oppurtunistic mentality in games... Can anyone even read that sentence out loud without laughing??? ><
@DIGN Sadly I was one of those fans who pre-ordered the game before realizing what they'd done to the Diablo franchise >< Goes without saying Blizzard probably lost half of their Diablo fanbase with that release. Torchlight 2 ftw.
I've always believed that "silence implies compliance" and given that all forms of media in general have an impact on how our society grows and develops I'm glad that Carol's pulled up such a popular franchise for harboring and featuring such a prejudiced mentality.
While it's very likely most people who play this game wouldn't be affected by the philosophy in the game, all it takes for it to do any damage is to alter the perception for a few people that were convinced. Sexuality isn't a choice, any kind of sexuality, learn to accept and respect people as people for who they are.
For all you posters out there who think otherwise here's a question for you "When did you decide to be straight?"
