I think I'll wait a few months to see how these consoles are doing. Launch titles are usually crap and as I learned the hard way this generation, early adopters are punished. I bought a 1st generation 360 and it failed 3 times already, I'm sure Microsoft won't make the same mistake next gen but I'll still wait and see.

And nothing of value was lost.

I do have to buy a laptop, my work and school demands force me to spend my money on a mobile solution. and, you are correct, I can't waste my money buying a desktop gaming PC when I need the laptop to work.

I was really excited about the 3DS but I've decided to save that money for the NGP.

My 80gig PS3 still works perfectly. Sometimes I forget to turn it off and runs all day, I've never had any problems. My 2nd generation Xbox 360 has failed for the 2nd time, which is weird since I didn't play it for more than 2 hours at a time. Warranty is out, so I'll be fixing it myself with the repair kit, wish me luck!
