I am one of those people that is having a lot of fun with games that even came out last year. Let alone all of the upcoming titles. I for one will not be buying a new console anytime soon after the release. Especially since I got screws on 360 five times, and once on the PS3. But that is not even the main issue. It's just that this time I don't see the excitement as much as last two generations. Maybe I am just getting older (30).
I can wait a year or two for some of them, but I am excited to see them all and very excited about project cafe. I hope nintendo delivers, and if they do I will likely buy it at launch.
im looking forward to nintys next console. im always interested to see what that bonkers company comes up with. itll probably be close to a day 1 purchase for me (unless whats shown really puts me off). with the 720 and PS4....ill probably wait till later into the next gen to pick them up. ill get the slim models for a cheap price. there probably just going to be more linear advancement anyway.
No thanks. There's not much more you can offer outside of more shiny graphics. There will be more DLC add-ons, less physical media, and more corporate control. I'll stick with what I have, and go backwards from there.
Low hype obviously, it will be exactly as this one with better graphics and more RAM for bigger worlds. Combined with motion gaming probably, nothing new.
I can wait. I still get lots of enjoyment out of my Xbox 360 (and PS3 once in a while). Plus with school I don't have the money right now to afford another console. Nor will I be able to for a while.
If Nintendo makes a system that can go head to head with the New Xbox or PS4 It could very well be my only console next gen. I have 2 Xbox 360s, a PS4 and Wii. I rarely play the Wii except when I am in the mood for some retro gaming, my PS3 is more of a Blu-ray/Netflix player, and my Xbox gets most of my console gaming attention but PC is where I am really at.
Nintendo's exclusives and my PC for everything else is the way I hope things work out.

I think I'll wait a few months to see how these consoles are doing. Launch titles are usually crap and as I learned the hard way this generation, early adopters are punished. I bought a 1st generation 360 and it failed 3 times already, I'm sure Microsoft won't make the same mistake next gen but I'll still wait and see.
I've loved this generation so I don't want it ending any time soon but I can't help but get hyped whenever a new generation comes around so I'm very hyped for next generation.
