Greetings all. This thread is to spread the word on FM3's new "matchmaking system." For those waiting to purchase this game, and are looking forward to a rewarding multiplayer experience, head on over to the thread below and see the current climate of disarray. The loyal FMnet community is up in arms about the changes and utter poor decision making by the developers. http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forums/71/3141826/ShowThread.aspx#3141826 Please read through some of this thread before you make the decision to buy. Its better to make an educated decision than buy something you will be unhappy with.

Thanks guys. I know ill eventually end up playing both. But I'm in the mood for something long and rewarding so it looks like I'm going with Tales first.

First, thanks for stopping in. I need a good jrpg and have always been a fan of the genre. I'm looking to pick up either Tales of Vesperia or Eternal Sonata today. I think they both look awesome. Ive researched them both and really just cannot decide. Plus they are both super cheap so cost is not a factor. If any of you have played either or both I could really use your opinions on these games. Thanks again!

If you a street fighter fan from wayback then i think you'll love it. If you remember all the old moves you can jump right in and be able to use your old favorites. Using your old favs is also a good way to introduce you to the new combo, and special move systems as they are often a simple variation of the classic moves. Once your comfy you can take time to master the new characters, complete challenges, fight online and more. Personally I love it and can turn it on whenever i don't know what i want to play and have a blast.

I personally love it when you get to hear some dude busting out 50 cent lyrics with the stereo right next to their mic. I also like hearing some dude carry on a 10 minute convo with his 16 year old girlfriend. "Hello? Nah. ..........i don't know.........MAN I TOLD HIM NOT TO TELL HER......nah....i dont think so........whatever.....balh blah blah. mmmmmm i just LOVE IT

My biggest problem is that as the matches get harder and the precision timing becomes more and more important, i cannot get my moves and combos to launch. I'm not bad with timing, but in battles with Seth the PS3 controller just wont recognize my inputs. Then I stall out and Seth unleashes all his cheap crap on me. I know for a fact I am doing them correct. A simple 2 forward rolls and the all punch button is NOT hard to pull off. That is my biggest problem. I love the game and Dont mind the challenge. But for me the controls in harder difficulties really frustrate me. I don't think you should have to buy a new controller in order to fully enjoy a 2d fighting game.

Yeah online is bad here also. And I agree about the difficulty. The big problem i am having is that the freakin controller just wont keep up with my inputs. I mean i know its all about precision. I get that. But two forward rolls and the all punch button is NOT HARD. When the battles get harder and you have less time to input the command, the ps3 controller just does not respond. I'm getting so frustrated. I honestly don't think a game has been able to get my so frustrated. I just fought Seth 10 times and I just cannot get my combos launched or simple specials launched. Meanwhile i sit there and stall on my moves and Seth launches his barrage of super cheap moves. I LOVE this game, but you shouldn't have to go out and buy a new controller to make one game playable. I don't think you can blame the ps3 controller either. Capcom knew that is what they had to work with on the widest basis. They should have done a much better job getting the controls sharp on the standard ps3 controller instead of worrying about 3rd party sticks and pads.
