IF you take the 100 buck you spend on GH and bought a beginner guitar, then spend the time practicing that instead of pushing buttons on an air guitar you might surprise yourself.

[QUOTE="billytalent_roc"]Very true , the arcade comes with the arcade game back one wireless controller and a 250 memory unit i thought it was a good deal since im not an online gamer but im leaning towards the premium package, maybe i'll just go to block busters and pick up games there for cheaper thanks everyone:)NOD_Grindking

I have no problem buying used games, just give them a good run over to make sure there not scratched to hell before you purchase them and test them ASAP....if theres even one problem, return it right away

Yes. Same for what I said earlier. If you get them from Gamestop they should have tested them. But that isn't always the case. Test them and take them right back if htey don't work.

You may be in more luck than those of us who have had them for awhile. You are lucky becasue you missed out of some huge titles. If you picked up a premium package at a gamestop you could defiantely pick up some AWESOME games that are used and not have to fork over 60 bucks per game. Some awesome games would be, Oblivion, Gears of War, Rainbow 6 Vegas, Forza 2 and on. I dont know what your taste in games is but just check out what they have, there will be a lot of titles with yellow tags on them. The platnum titles are 29 bucks I think and most of them are great. PLus if you have older games or systems you can trade them in for more credit. If you are planning that, have them sign you up for an edge card. You get a larger percentage of return on your trade ins then and in the future. You will have plenty of money to pick up the system and some good games. Have fun.

this game is way better than forza.

#1: superior gameplay

#2: Better graphic imo (better AA)

#3: more racing style, instead of running million of laps on one single track, basically forza is just a copy cat of Grand Turismo

_Cab0ose87_

I'm not even going to touch this one, all i'm gunna say is that your asking for trouble my friend.

There is nothing "basic" about comparing GT to Forza. GT did not invent the racing game. Forza took the idea of a racing game and improved it by adding more of what race fans wanted. Damage, customization that yielded visual results, and Custom paint options. This casts a huge shadow over GT's bumper cars and rim only customization. You can't automatically categorize any game where a car goes around a track a GT rip off. I am sure that GT5 will implement many ideas that Forza has worked on. They need to, driving a car around a track without being able to hurt it makes the "Ultimate Driving Simulator" look like a joke. Forza has had great success with their damage system. Now there is even talk of a future patch after release to ad cosmetic damage. Did they really consider damage as an option so late in development that it will have to be addressed in a patch? Even the new Need for Speed will have damage. IMO GT is was behind the ball the day Forza 1 came out. As far as NFS I did think the demo was a poor representation of the game. I was very excited about the one but now i think it is a rent first situation.

I think people argue about this for the same reasons people argue about the systems. It's not so much about technical superiority or quality, it is about defending their money and personal loyalty. Look at the people who were saying how superior Halo 3 was to Gears months before Halo even came out. It simply isn't possible to know at that point, but many people are so loyal to their brand that they need to justify it. Same with X-box 360 vs PS3. If you stand back and look at the machines and forget about all the problems related to their parent companies (i.e. ms's reliability issues and sony's lack of games/dev problems) they are both remarkable machines in what they can do. Neither the X-Box 360 or the PS3 is a piece of crap. Same for Halo 3 and Gears. They are both great and offer a lot of fun. The argument stems from people wanting to confirm that they made the right decision in their purchase and everyone else who didn't is wrong. It is quite silly.

My old 360 started freezing after my year warranty was up. This was before the warranry extension. As soon as it started I traded it in to Gamestop when they were offereing the Elite trade in deal. I got the elite and Gamestop's in store warranty. If anything happens to it I just take it to Gamestop and they give me a new one on the spot. It cost a little more but I hate headaches. As people have said above the Elite seems to run much quieter and cooler than my old system. Anyways if you are worried about the headache and want to avoid dealing with MS an in store warranty is a solid bet.

Do you have a bank account? I use my debit card. I never thought, do you have to be a certain age to have a debit card? If so can't you buy a Live card and redeem it that way?

I think that paying for LIVE is perfectly reasonable. Granted it is buggy at times but what isn't? I can hook up anytime I want. Download demos, movies, extra content etc. And, for me at least, laggy games are very few and far between since I upgraded to FIOS. The cost for LIVE, which ls like 5 bucks a month or something is pennies per day, seems like a bargain to me. I do understand that it may be tough for younger players who don't have part time jobs. Maybe ask for a year subscription for a holiday or birthday. As far as not paying because you rarely use the service...You really can't base somethings cost on the fact that you are not going to use it often. I took a 3 week vacation in the summer. Even though I didn't use my cable, internet, phone I still had to pay the bills that month. That's just the way things are. A service like LIVE requires upkeep and constant maintenance to operate. They don't make even close to enough money on 360 units alone to cover something like that, even if they did sell more due to free LIVE. So a small fee is necessary for an overall quality service.

I have had my Elite since it's launch. It is an excellent system. Runs quieter and is noticeably cooler than the premium I had. I think it is a good investment over the current premium if you have the extra coin. As always get it where you can get an in store plan so if it ever does fail you can just do a swap there instead of mailing away your system.
