[QUOTE="Respawn-d"]Sadly its pretty true. Name one new good IP Nintendo has created ps1 sony had crash, spyro ps2 sony had Jak ps3 sony has Nathan drake n64 nintendo has mario, Zelda, ect gamecube has mario, Zelda, ect wii Nintendo has mario, Zelda, ect

Do you remember how popular crash is? Oh wait, he's not. Spyro? He hasn't been good since the PS1. Jak I'll give you credit for and so too for Drake. I don't know. Maybe Pikmin? Fire Emblem? battlion arms? Reviving Samus in Metorid Prime? Get your facts straight. They have created new IP's. Your just too blind to notice.

[QUOTE="Respawn-d"][QUOTE="luigigreen"]The TC fails. Hardcore. For many reasons. 1) You say Nintendo has been making the same thing, over and over. They have been in gaming since 1988. That's 22 years. There are about 10 main Mario games. That's about 2 years a game, so it's not like they keep throwing games at us. Also, Zelda and Metroid games are very scarce and therefore, should be enjoyed 2) YOU ARE CRAZY TO SAY NINTENDO HAS NOT INNOVATED. SM 64 was the first 3D platformer to do it correctly. Why do you think so many followed afterwards? Super Mario World was a great leap forward. Super Mario Galaxy won multiple GOTY awards, including from Gamespot, BECAUSE IT WAS THAT GOOD. Let's not forget about the GOTY's that Nintendo has created with Zelda. Or Metroid. They have constantly pushed the bar forward in gameplay mechanics. 3) SAME CHARACTERS =/= SAME GAMEPLAY. Learn this. LEARN IT. For god's sake, just because they use similar characters in games does not mean they play the same.

4) Nintendo has created offshoots of Mario series that are just as good as the originals and are still produced. Mario kart, Mario tennis, Mario Golf, Warioware, Super Smash Bros. These are all successful spinoffs that are fun and creative and are great stand alone games by themselves, even if mario characters weren't.used. They all have different gameplay and are fun and original.

5) You say Sony or Microsoft haven't re hashed? Sony and Microsoft have been in the business much less the Nintendo, yet 1 word: HALO. 3 Halos, an RTS series, Halo: Reach and Halo:ODST. 6 games in 9 years. Now, I'm not saying that's bad, I'm just saying that you haven't mentioned it once, yet Bungie continues to kick the Hao series for all it's worth, and not a peep from you. What about the Ratchet and Clank series? 9 main games in less then 10 years. All of them platformers. All of them doing the same thing. Yet you don't complain about that? 6) Lastly, the reason why everyone talk about the abuse Nintendo does to it's characters are because the games they create are so good. If they were good/great, ie. Ratchet and Clank, then it wouldn't get as much attention. But because Nintendo put so much effort and time into creating their series, they get critcized for re hashing the same characters. Maybe for once they should be praised for creating fun, innovative, and GOTY worthy games instead of close minded people like you taking one look at a Mario game and going "oh, another Mario game, pass."

your avatar is all I need to look at to know your opinion.

Fun Fact: I don't like the Wii. I don't like it one bit. I have a PS3 that I always play. But I still think Nintendo makes great games, GOTY games.

You could replace Pokemon with almost any JRPG. Combat, level, etc. I'm not saying that as a negative, I'm saying that there are people who like WRPG's just like there are people who like Pokemon and the combat system there.

So much hate for MW games on these threads. I've played both. There both fun and entertaining, and while they are very action-y, there is a market for those types of games.

Very nice. I liked the look of it since I saw it at E3. I wish they port it to the PS3 at some point in the future.

Yea, that's bad. Reading the entire thread is like watching a train wreck happen caused by Mythic. They will lose a lot of subscribers.

Another sequel = milking? I don't think so, it's a brand new game. Just because pokemon sticks to the same successful formula it's always done, doesn't mean it's being milked. It's a sequel for god's sake.
