[QUOTE="7CloudStrife7"] Now Nintendo, as far as the MAIN fanbase that has always been there for them, I think they are way out in left field. Fans have been clamoring for "hardcore" games and Nintendo seems fit to answer them with, "Wii Sports 2!"gamer620
Hate to break this to you, but the MAIN fanbase for the Wii is not the fanbase that has "always been there for them" Nintendo's main fanbase is exactly who they are currently catering to. the maybe 30% or so Wii owners that can be considered hardcore are not the MAIN fanbase. And by the end of this generation all Wii owners, whether traditional by todays standards, or traditional by the current "Casual" moniker, will all be considered TRADITIONAL. When it comes down to it, Nintendo IS serving their fanbase the best, and that is why it continues to sell. Microsoft and Sony simply continue scraping by on a dying breed of gamer by force feeding HD and multimedia features down our throats. I wouldn't call that appeasing the masses, but rather trying to rekindle what spark the "hardcore" gamer may have left. By the end of this generation, we won't be the hardcore gamer anymore.
How exactly did Nintendo serve the causals best? Nintendo went and gave the causals overpriced SD cards, routers and keyboards.
