So this is actually real. Trump already learned that his public statements can be used against him in court. The man is now full blown conspiracist. Really embracing his leadership of Q-Anon.

Imagine pretending that Trump was cordial and didn't constantly demean and insult everyone who didn't support him 100%. As if we all didn't live through four years of that misery, witnessing the person in our highest office acting like a high school mean girl on Twitter.

Not being on twitter I never saw his mean tweets, but I don't care. The Democrats were used to being able to do and say anything they wanted with no push back from Republican. Trump was different and gave better than he got and the Democrats couldn't handle the push back. It was about time somebody stood up to the media and the Democrats. By the way with all his mean tweets the country was in the best condition for the average people it had ever been. Look at us now on the verge of becoming a third world country at least we don't have mean tweets.

Even if you were off Twitter it was impossible to miss him doing the same on live television every single day as well. It's arguable Trump was actually more harsh on his fellow republicans when they dared disagree with him or merely didn't give him the devotion he demanded.

The rest of what you typed is pure fantasy.

A law would actually have to have been broken.

Which is very likely to have been the case. Most notably, Fraud having the strongest case.

Another strong case for is that DeSantis violated international law. In particular Freedom of Movement articulated in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

No, it isn't very likely to be the case. If fraud is your "strongest case" then it proves my point. Now you're pulling stuff out of your ass. Freedom of movement? What the hell are you even talking about? Nobody was forced to go anywhere.

I am talking about international law. I suggest you read the actual law.

https://www.ohchr.org/en/instruments-mechanisms/instruments/international-covenant-civil-and-political-rights

And no, fraud is very likely. DeSantis decieved vulnerable people.

First off, there's no "international law" with jurisdiction on this matter.

LOL. Earlier in this very thread homeboy here tried to quote international law and regulations in some bizarre attempt to prove that these migrants were in the country illegally, after I had already pointed out that they were granted humanitarian parole (which abides by international laws and agreements on migration).

"eoten" is not here to have honest discussions. It's obvious to anyone who has read any thread here in the politics section. I would not be surprised if it's a Russian trollfarm account. Just ignore the account. These boards sorely need an ignore function.

Tens of thousands of Russians are fleeing the country to avoid the draft. The draft itself is chaotic, with people over 35 being summoned, even angering the head of their state news RT enough to publicly denounce it. Protests in the streets. Russian forces abandoning positions so quickly they're leaving conscripts behind.

Love to see it.

The law that was in place sounded like a good one. After being charged, arrested, and released pending trial there are often some limitations placed upon a subject until their court date. Preventing people under felony indictment from purchasing a firearm is perfectly reasonable.

I see this judge, like other conservative judges recently, is using the tradition excuse - even though this law, like others recently overturned, were on the books and working just fine for over fifty years - so spanning the lives of people from multiple generations.

Ah well. Elections have consequences and all. Remember to vote, Americans who still care about law and order.

The reign of Buddhism in America is nigh!

Seriously though: the Christian majority ending has been noted for over a decade now. An old study I read someplace years back, I think it was covered in Scientific American, showed that so many older millennials and younger gen Xr's were so put off by the cruelty and anti-intellectualism of Evangelicals that it provoked them to leave Christianity behind - regardless of polity / denomination.

Since some people seem confused about the basic foundations of the case here's the full audio of the announcement of the lawsuit against Trump by the AG of NY state herself:

https://the-rachel-maddow-show.simplecast.com/episodes/full-audio-nyag-letitia-james-announces-lawsuit-against-donald-trump

1. An AG is obviously capable of bringing a civil suit of any kind whatsoever they choose. For one, they're the AG. Durrrr. Second, she already has. So I am not sure why anyone would attempt to argue this point

2. The various investigations already found instances of criminal misconduct, both at state and federal levels, and she has already referred those to their respective law enforcement agencies. Her concern and her office's time is currently being spent on this civil case

3. I don't care to read back through the thread but someone stupidly claimed "paper work doesn't matter". To whoever that was, my brother in Christ, what in the Lord do you think legal cases are built upon? Color by number pictures? Interpretive dance?

https://thehill.com/policy/national-security/3656739-special-master-asks-trump-team-to-back-up-claim-fbi-planted-evidence/

The special master is asking the Trump team to back up another unsubstantiated claim from Trump - this time what evidence was supposedly "planted" by the FBI / DOJ / Rebel Alliance / Batman / whoever Trump thinks served the search warrant.

I suppose next he'll make Trump and his legal team look even more foolish by asking them to back up the claim that Trump can magically declassify documents by the force of his will and imagination.

Trump's defense is clown shoes. This is going to end up being even more entertaining than watching his slew of election lawsuits get laughed out of court was, isn't it?

TRUMP 2024

SAVE AMERICA

L O L

'Show me what crime he's being charged with'

It's fantastic watching you run out of ideas at this point. Keep chanting for the grifter until you lose your voice.

All they can do at this point is pretend that evidence isn't real while making histrionic posts. They're the party of Q-anon now - reality no longer matters to them. They may as well be posting on /pol/ at this point.

In reality there is an enormous amount of financial detail in the filing supporting the lawsuit. This information was obtained over years of hard fought, well-publicized legal battles with Trump’s lawyers in New York trial and appellate courts. This included Trump and the real estate firm of Cushman Wakefield both being held in contempt for failing to turn over documents (Cushman Wakefield eventually relented).
