@keiser69: while it’s true a lot of people could benefit from stadia in the category you mention, too tier games still cost 79.99 to buy on Stadia so it defeats the purpose. Wait a year or two and get a disc ps5 or series x (for less because slim models will have released) and your console is running games better, more cheaply, and without the need for internet than stadia ever could. These same poor are probably living in districts that can’t afford high bandwidth internet. So it’s a good vision, just still too early. Had Stafia launched with a sub model like gamepass that might have turned heads

If i was an indie developer I’d absolutely want the backing of the IP to sell my game, and that’s the issue. It would dilute the brand.

@CyberEarth: I would imagine how development works is you develop for your highest target, in this case PC, and optimize your way down. 7 years IS a long time and they probably were TOO ambitious. Covid certainly didn’t help if they were already pushing themselves once that hit. All I’m saying is, it’ll run fine on base platforms, with lots of bells and whistles missing. It’ll still look great relative to the platform it’s on. If I’m wrong, well, then CDProjekt reds investors will have a stronger claim against them.
