If im not mistaken the holding the eject button thing only works with the 40 gig and 80 gig, but if you didnt get a yellow light you might just have a bad power supply....maybe, google it....google always knows more

you should try fixing it your self so you can back up the data, its really not that hard. I've already opened up my ps3 7 times, just youtube how to fix it.

as far as the psn thing goes all your trophies are gonna be saved and all the games you downloaded and any add ons can be redownloaded again

I had way to much fun with the magnum in resistance 2 and that one old rifle in mgs4 that shoots tornado's
