Kinect: Do you want it or not?

I notice that a lot of people seem to be ambiguous about wanting Kinect. I created this thread to see how many people are actually looking forward to Kinect and how many people are just hiding in the shadows to see the outcome.

Personally, I think Kinect will sell well but be a failure game wise. I do not want.

I dont want it at the moment, but who nows if some great games start coming out and its gets a bit cheaper then i'll be on board

I don't like motion gaming but I must admit I want kinect...for the menu stuff and voice recognition...and I also think it has more potential

I will always play my real games with a controller or m/k of course but for a nice break and for the kids in my family kinect will be fun.

I will say it again.. Helllll to the Noooo! LOL.

I'm getting it. Most of the people who will want it won't be on this forum. The majority of gamers on here are hardcore or close to it.

The idea is a good one, but I don't think the implementation is good enough right now.

Kinect is probably going to suck, but I hope Microsoft don't abandon the idea, as a Kinect 2 or Kinect 3 in a few years when the tech is better and they iron out the problems could be awesome.

Too many hardcore games to ignore anymore, it is now as important as 360 to me for core games

That would be cool if I was buying a new 360, but I already have 2(won a 4GB Slim at Reach midnight release). I'd prefer to wait for $99, but I'd probably bite at $120. $30-50 can get you a lot of solid games from Steam or D2D deals, so I'd rather wait at this point. Oh well, the longer you wait, the more games you have to choose from.

Im buying it for the voice/gesture recognition along with built-in camera/mic, also, for my 3 and 5 year old kids.

I don't want either Kinect or Move. There aren't any games right now that I could see myself playing. They all look like HD Wii games and my Wii does nothing but collect dust. I might consider them in the future after a price drop and some innovative games not this casual crap.

I'm not just buying it for myself but I'm also buying it for the people who lives or visits my place like the wifey, sisters, neices and nephew, mom, and friends. I think they're going to have a blast with it, so just as long they're happy I'm happy. Also I always try to never buy a game, system, or peripheral at MSRP. I have store credit and gift cards for various stores but my friend just gave me a $100 gift card for a belated bday present so I'm good to go and will be getting this day one. I'm thankful for the gift but I should have told him to get the gift card at a different store, so I would have gotten a gift card back for buying it.

i pre odered a 4gig kinect bundle. wanted a new slim since day one and thought about getting kinect since it was project natal. so i got it for 100 bucks plus the free game and kinect tokens:D
