7-8 MB/s here in my area. It's a shame that there isabsolutely no 4G service at my house though. Everywhere else outside my house, there is. It's fine with me as I just connect to my router. :)
My speed is 5.22Mbps. T-Mobile says that their speeds are faster than home internet. I did a Wi-Fi check with my phone, my internet is nearly 4x better.PolskaKingIt really depends. Some people barely have 1MB/s down and 512KB/s up speeds. :?
3G generally caps out at 1mbps, theoretical of I think 5-10, not sure. 4G has a theoretical max of anywhere from 45mbps to 100, depending on the carrier. Remember, theres a huge difference between theoretical and real world, namely network traffic and congestion.
Also, 1.8 in my house, 7-8 outside
EDIT: whoops mbps not gbps
It's HSPA+ or WiMax. Not really 4G. Neither is LTE, but it's much faster. I get about 30 down here on Verizon.

Are you sure that's right? I usually have speeds of 2 Mbps, and only because my provider caps it there. My friends on other carriers typically get 5-6 Mbps.

That is true, still shocking for this day and age though.

Thats the general cap when you take in traffic, etc. Its entirely possible to get higher than that, but I believe thats the average to 3G.
Here in Aus where it was introduced to phones like last week, 20Mbps. Funny that its faster than the US which has had it for yrs now...

Perth here :D
on a 3G HTC HD7 (windows phone 7 mind u, found an app called Bandwidth to run some tests.
out of 4 tests i got:
2.57mbps (4:10pm)
4.7mbps (4:07pm)
.69mbps (4:05pm)
.81mbps (11:41am)
during all tests i was in a 3G area, getting max 3 bars out of 5 on the phone. I am in the outskirts of town on the Telstra network, so this phone does jump between HSPDA and 3G a few steps to the left or right.

Just did a speed test in my area and got 1015 kbps down and 677 kbps up. I live in a small town so I'm not too surprised. I use "3G."
Sadly, my internet in my apartment isn't much faster, but I do tend to use wifi has whatever the walls are made of completely kill my phone signal. Only 3 more months, only three more months. :(
Download is 12.94Mbps and upload is 1.44Mbps on my HTC Evo 3D on the Sprint network.AmazonTreeBoaSorry guys, I just realized I gave you specs from a WiFi test. I just test on 4G and these are my real speeds. Download 7.45 and upload is 1.41.
It depends on the location for me and not necessarily the number of bars. I get about 5-6Mb down on average, highest I saw was 22Mb and it was downloading files faster than my home broadband, lol.
