My dad used to play Prince of Persia (the Jordan Mechner original, as well as the sequel) when I was a kid. I used to love watching him play and I started playing it when I was around 5. That's what brought me into gaming.
I only go digital when games are on sale. Retail is much cheaper where I live. Plus, having discs to install from lets me remove games at will. I have plenty of hard drive space, but I just like keeping my system clean :P
The last RTS I played (and liked) was Rise of Nations. I played AoE3 but didn't like it much. RoN, however, remains one of my favorite games of all time.
The only proper RPG I've ever liked was Baldur's Gate 2. I didn't like Neverwinter Nights or Dragon Age or Oblivion. I loved Mass Effect, but that's more of a shooter. And I really like The Witcher.
