Hey, I just wanted to know why you are a gamer. Wht brought you into gaming?

When I was 3, my grandma bought a super nintendo for herself, and we watched her play. I was actually afraid of bowser at the time

When i turned 4, my grandma got me my own super nintendo, and thats why i am writing this message right now.

So, what got you into gaming?

When I was a toddler, my dad was in a really bad car accident and couldn't really do much for a few months. During that time he played a lot of Legend of Zelda, and I used to watch him. Don't remember doing it, but I contribute that to me being a gamer. :)

The Nintendo 64 caught my eye, with my favorite games being Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Stadium, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, and Donkey Kong 64 :)

When I was growing up, my sister had an NES and a Sega Master System that we used to take turns playing Super Mario Bros and Alex Kidd respectively. It all started there. :P

My brother had a few systems, I saw games at stores and other people houses, and I wanted to try them out. I was around 3 or 4, and from the first moment I played a video game I loved it.

I must have been 4 years old when i watched my older brothers play double dragon, ninja turtles 2 and Super Mario Bros/Duck hunt*with gun that i ended up braking* on a nintendo entertainment system. When final fantasy 2 came out for super nintendo i was about 7-8, and watching my brother play that game and beat it was one of my favorite childhood experiences. We were all just kids, so my little sister was in charge of making him food, i would help with storyline advice, my other brother would check dictionary for words we did'nt know and my eldest who was 13 would play the game. Video games is my blood soul life.

i remeber very well what got me into gaming. I was 6 yrs old and my grandpa was bed ridden. He was a WWII hero, a rifle man, who was decorated with the bronze star, He was shell shocked in a bombing which got him the puperl heart. He became an acholholic right when he was discharged from the military and had some serious pyscologial issues. He used to hide hit drinks from be but he smoked a pipe all day everyday. He ended up getting throat cancer and had a track in his throught that was covered with metal thing inserted by his adams apple. Anyhow, i watched him play so many different game. I think he had around 20 games. But i'd sit there and wacth him play day after day. He died when i was around 7 years old. I then started to play all his games in his hospital bed for so many hours. Soon after the nintendo came out. And super mario brothers and duck hunt were game i wanted more than anything. It was so amasing. My mom finally bought me my first nintendo, the SNES, N64, sega gen, PS2, dream cast when i got older, and now i play some computer games, i had teh PS3 still have the 360. Once i was intorduced with the atria 2600 i had to have every game system after that. I was hooked for life after my grandpa died and have played ever since. Growing up and playing games where always the highlight of my day. I miss them. But now i always wonder what its like growing up in this generation of game. Must be super cool. well that my story.

My dad would take me to the arcade after we played mini golf. I guess I'd have been 4 or 5 at that time. By my 6th birthday, I got a Genesis.

The Punisher Genesis. Once I played it I fell in love with beat em ups. Played a bunch of great gems and crappy ones too. Then I moved on to other games on the Genesis and the rest is history.

When I was a kid, my cousins would bring video games over to my house whenever they'd visit. We had long gaming sessions consisting of NES, SNES, and N64 games. Playing video games has been a hobby ever since.

A chance to escape the harsh reality of life!

Haha no, in all seriousness nothing really "brought" me into gaming, the fact was I was a kid once and it seemed the natural thing to do. That and my parents bought me a SNES for my birthday ;)

My dad used to play Prince of Persia (the Jordan Mechner original, as well as the sequel) when I was a kid. I used to love watching him play and I started playing it when I was around 5. That's what brought me into gaming.

Back when I was 8, my family actually had to go to a video store and rent DVDs andVHS to watch. In the video rental store, they also happened to have video games to rent. I thought the video games looked cool, and wanted one for Christmas. My parents bought me a GBA that christmas, and I have been gaming ever since then.

My parents bought me a Sega Genesis when I was 3, but I never wanted to play until when I was 5 my mom pretty much forced me to start playing it and I've been hooked on and off games since 1995. Plus I got envious watching my uncle play Tomb Raider and Twisted Metal years later so I wanted to become a better gamer than him too. :P
