Ninja Gaiden Black- funny it still feels new to me even though the base game is over 8 years old.

I still find it difficult to believe that in todays modern society people can't think for themselves or they logically think some form of supernatural power exists like walking on water, turning water into wine etc even when the hard science proves something like that can't be done. Well not the way it's described anyway.

I do as well, but all it takes is for me to flip on the Trinity Broadcasting Network and I'll catch a guy up on stage pushing people down and yelling "you are healed!!!" and there is a stadium worth of individuals eating it all up. If that happens today in a developed county where an overwhelming majority are literate imagine how easy it was when nearly everyone was illiterate and science was basically unknown and only in its infancy among even the most highly educated.

Absolutely ridiculous it basically sums down to this- "Your views hurt my feelings, you deserve to die for that."

Hello, I'm a huge fan of philosophy and debate and always love a in depth discussions, which I've seen many that interest me on this particular board. I also am very much against extremists as I feel the world is better understood in shades of gray than as black and white. If your mind is totally closed to any other views then there really isn't a discussion to be had is there?

On a side note I also like the fact the people don't seem to have a problem reading posts that are longer than a sentence or two here. That is something that drives me a little crazy on the normal game boards lol.

I think people really got into it being one of the first NES games (But not games in general) to well, have 2-player co-op..Containmomentum
DD NES didn't have co-op game play, it did have a versus mode though. I'll agree it wasn't that hot of a game I remember getting it as a kid and wondering what it actually had in common with the arcade game. Of course at the time I was a little too young to realize the NES couldn't handle a perfect or near perfect arcade port.

DD was revolutionary in the arcade though for its co-op play, good graphics, multiple enemies and a 2D playing field in which the player could move in all directions not just forward and back something pretty revolutionary in 1987.

Funny thing is when it came to DD2 it was the opposite the arcade version was just a DD1.5 while I felt the NES version was great although it was again a totally different game than the arcade. Graphically it crushed the first NES title and this one actually did have a co-op mode. DD3 just plan sucks!

Also remember that all the other games you mentioned came out after DD.

Phff, lets just put it this way, I remember going to the store right around the 360's launched and playing COD2. I left the store with no interesting in buying a 360 at the time, other games changed that opinion. The game looked decent for the time, but that was about it for me.

I'm not believing the whole fear of piracy made Nintendo go with carts for the N64. No one and I mean no one had a CD burner during the development stages of the N64 and I don't think anyone could have predicted they would come down so fast in price. CD burners were somewhere around the $1000 mark in 96 and media was extremly expensive as well. Sounds like a logical leap being made by people who either weren't old enough or forgot when burners actually became common. Burners really didn't saturtae the market until late into the 5th gen and wasn't a huge issue for that gen, they did help kill the DC though.

[QUOTE="Uloset"]

Man I played Time Crisis to death on my PS1. Do you have the PS1 foot pedal controller? I remember I saw one at best buy sometime in the late 90's and I figured "I'll but it next time" never saw one again lol.

The-GodTier

You should have gotten it bro. Might be at some thrift stores though.

Well I guess I'll keep stepping on my 2nd player controller for now.

I've been playing Ninja Gaiden Black recently on my Xbox-1 and I have to really put it up there on the list. Every thing is smooth (anti-aliasing), the texture work is pretty damn good and the whole thing runs at a silky 60fps. Most of last gens games looked fine on my old 34 inch TV, but not so hot on my 50. NGB even on the 50 inch looks great.

Here goes...

Burnout Paradise is no where near as good as 3 or Revenge as the open world layout just spreads the action out making for a boring game.

Mirror's Edge is the best game this gen because of a combination of its art style, atmosphere and most importantly its unique game play.

No More Heroes is one of the worst games I've ever played, it is the most damn repetitive game on the Wii.

Red Steel 2 is in the top 5-10 games for Wii, even if you have to kill lots of trash cans and boxes.

The Halo series has been in a nosedive since 2.

Ken's theme is better than Guile's in SF2 I even have a poll to back up that I'm in the minority lol.
